Welcome to the hive and congrats on discovering Kia's sexy beast! You'll find plenty of like-minded enthusiasts who are also very helpful and friendly on this forum. The forum divides into separate sections based on subject, and the "find" button is your friend 
You'll obviously see a pro-Stinger bias on these boards--shocking, I know
You'll also encounter many posts about certain issues, and the point being be sure to take everything in context. Over 3,000 have been sold in the U.S. so far, but without that context some of the threads here may have prospective owners thinking there are defects to the car.
It's kinda like restaurant reviews. The majority of customers for a given restaurant have a pleasant experience but think nothing of it as that was their expectation. A few may be wowed with their experience and tell a few folks. A few may have a bad experience and, as is human nature, will tell everyone about it. Not to discount the unsatisfied customer's experience, but in context it doesn't reflect the overall performance of the restaurant. Forums are a place to share notable experiences, good or bad. Such concentration of collective anecdotes can lead to a skewed view without the proper context.
That said, keep the hive posted on your thoughts, questions, and suggestions! Glad to have you aboard!

welcome to the hive. hope we can help you in your quest to finding out if you want a stinger or not. i know i have, and several other forum members also, have owned many cars from different manufacturers. i can tell you that this is one of the best cars i have ever purchased, no b.s. now, that being said, will there be problems down the road? probably, because this is the first generation. growing up, my old man used to say not to buy the first year of anything because they haven't figured out all the bugs in the system yet. and, to a point, i have followed that. but, in this instance, i wanted to be a first year purchaser of the stinger so that i can see and learn about all its bugs and quirks. is that weird, probably, but, i want to experience the stingers growing pains. but, ask away with any questions, look at all the photos, and join in on any of the conversations going on. we are all here because we love the stinger.

I agree up to a point, except that in today's automotive world, there aren't any really "bad" cars. A lot of engineering is tested and confirmed by computers, and the competition is so strong that no one produces a car that is anything but good. Some just don't hit all the emotional or utilitarian desires of the buying public. I've purchases several "new" models and my last two Pontiacs were (are) fantastic cars with virtually no repairs and minimal maintenance. I hope the Stinger continues that trend. We know they beat it to death on the Nurenburg circuit and they are hammering it on the Stinger shows around the country. No worries.
