Hey all. Just joined the forums after lurking around for a while. Still driving a Honda but plan on making the upgrade to Stinger within the next few months. I love the design and the feeling I get when accelerating in the Stinger, and it has space for two carseats in the back which is a big plus for me! (children). Anyway looking forward to taking advantage of y'all's opinions and chiming in here and there!

Only if your children remain under 6' :)

I drive a CR-V. Have had one for 15 years. It's awesome for what it is but so boring. I've had my current one for about 2 years and think it's the most boring thing in the world.

and @robz32, the choice is made. GT1. BTW, local dealer says GT1 doesn't come in that ceramic grey color but kia website says it does. Which source is correct?

Welcome to the "hive" and you certainly won't be the only one toting around your kids in a Stinger! :)View attachment 3807

Real talk, how is the stinger with car seats in back? I’ve got two that are front facing and I’m 6’3”, so it worries me a bit. But it’s good?

Unfortunately the answer is both...I've seen the website be very wrong but then been told insanely wrong information by dealers. Call a few other dealerships and see what they say. Some may even offer to order you the GT1 in Ceramic.

I'm 6'0" and his seat can certainly fit behind, though depending on your build that may differ. I'm all arms and legs, no torso. The rear seat bottom is also canted rearward for more rear passenger legroom, but car eats negate that. I'd definitely recommend test fitting when you head to the dealership like we did. It certainly let them know we were serious lol

I think the colors are just starting to roll in, a check of cars.com lists a few but the listing are like place holders as there are no actual photos. Give it a few more weeks, by summer for sure they should have s full complement of colors. I have seen the Ceramic Silver in GT2 trim and it looks nice with the red interior.

Yeah that’s kind of what I’m afraid of. I want the driving experience of the stinger but I worry about the practicality of the rear seat with a 4 and 2 year old. If I was 5’8” it probably wouldn’t be an issue lol.

I would definitely test fit yer kiddos' seats. The experience of driving this car daily is certainly worth the time to find out for sure. And our son LOVES "Sally the Stinger"--- he always wants me to "drive fast in the red car" (on the touchscreen, Sport mode shows up in red). He's only 4 but says he can't wait until he's old enough to ride shotgun. ;) Not only is this car a great looker, driver, and multi-use vehicle, it apparently is impressing young minds of tomorrow with the idea that cars can be much more than just transportation :)
EDIT---you may wish to reach out to @iclicku as I believe he is running with 2 car seats. There's also a car reviewer on YouTube who is something like 6'7" and gave the car big thumbs up!

Really good info, I appreciate it! I saw the 6’10” guy on YouTube that loved the stinger. That review was pretty funny overall.
