been lurking on the forum for about a week, wife and I are happy owners of an SX Telluride. Used to be a standard kia basher til that car---
Was getting the itch for something sporty for myself (DD is an 09 legacy) and got excited about the 400Z. She was on board with it til she remembered I had a 350 in my youth...and it was only a 2 seater lol. Her argument was that I could have a fun car, as long as it was practical!
Some minor sniffing around, and seeing doug demuro's "I bought an 18' stinger!"
And here we are. Immediately having 2 car payments isnt in the stars for us currently, but in the next year hopefully im thinking if the lease deals are still available- maybe I might be able to wave from a GT2 with my name on it

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. You’ve come to the right place to learn all about the Stinger. I’m glad you found us! :)

Why not find a 2019 or 2018 that's CPO? I'm in Ohio and drove a good three hours to pick mine up. I got a gt2 for 30k with 20,000 miles on it. We need more Stingers in Ohio!

Welcome from the Columbus area!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Howdy. Two car payments sounds scary to me. But it will be nice if you can do it. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome from the Cincy area.. as LordStark said, we need more Stingers in Ohio

Have done a lot of reading on the car. The 3.3 is pretty well bulletproof for the most part it seems. Are there ANY weak points on the car? I saw the brake pad issue that that seems to be about it?

If financially viable just buy it, the face lift won't bring much changes, you will not regret. You get everything you get with a German unless you are a badge snob at around 36-40 something thousand dollars, its a bargain of a sports sedan.

2 weak points for the Stinger

1) No remote start... really? I still feel like this should be standard fare on all trims with this vehicle
2) Trunk button on non-GT2 trims just flashes the signal lights. WTF is that about? At least pop the latch so I can just lift up.

Beyond that the car is darn near perfection. It has power, handling, comfort, features, room, storage and luxury. It may not be class leading in any category and may no really know which class it truly competes in, but there is not another vehicle out there that ticks all of these boxes very well in each area. I am more and more impressed each day.

Agreed. I’m in the northern Columbus area and don’t see a lot of Stingers. I make it a point to honk my horn and waive when I see one.

Im hesitant to buy someone else's discarded toy in this instance. This would be my first FI car and makes me a little on edge about maintenance as it is!
