So after narrowing down my exhaust to only three still having a hard time trying to decide. In order from 1-3 …. Jun bl gt exhaust, mbrp exhaust, and borla exhaust. Imo I think the Jun bl gt exhaust sounds best with mbrp right behind and then borla. I know I can use stock tips with the Jun bl gt exhaust but what about the borla and mbrp ? This is my daily vehicle to and from work and whatever else needs to be done so I don’t want to be the loudest on the block but a nice deep aggressive growl on wot and no drone. I see a lot of members have purchased exhaust tips from Ali express . Any other options for exhaust tips ?

I'm in the same boat right now and I have decided on the MBRP with tip extensions at first. Then maybe I'll go with replacement tips if I don't like the sound reduction. I have already put in sound deadening mat in the trunk and that helped with just the stock exhaust.

And with the MBRP it uses a factory type X pipe and has a nice spot to weld in a resonator if needed.

The sound deadening material in trunk ….. will that help with drone combined with aftermarket exhaust tips and resonators? It seems like this has been the consensus on controlling the exhaust and letting it flow and avoid drone. Where did you purchase sound deadening material from?

Currently I have it nailed down to two the borla and mbrp. Jun bl gt is a lil out of my price range. The mbrp not really worried about drone as long as you have nice exhaust aftermarket tips . With the borla I would think the sound deadening material, two resonators after x pipe and aftermarket exhaust tips should tame down the borla and make the sound more Refined without drone. Has anyone used resonators on the borla exhaust with aftermarket tips ? Still up in the air between these two mbrp and borla

MBRP is the best for a daily imo. Depends what youre after.
I’m leaning more towards mbrp than borla but I want that aggressive sound. I haven’t heard mbrp in person but sounds great on the yt clips I did listen to just not aggressive like the borla. If I threw in the Jun bl downpipes with the mbrp I think that’s where I want to be. Thanks

The best set up ive seen with the MBRP catback exhaust was with the jun bl/competition series downpipes.

But if you want the aggressive sound right away, then cant go wrong with borla. For me, personally I love the medium tone growl that MBRP has and in WOT is loud enough for me to enjoy.

I’m just scared of the drone with the borla. I know the tips will help but I think I need to hear it in person. I agree though the mbrp would be my safest bet and a good medium tone and wot open it up. Maybe just get the mbrp for now and then add the Jun bl down pipes if I want more sound

So far without tips, I get minimal drone with the MBRP. Heck, over time I dont even hear it or I just got use to it. Definitely isnt a headache for DD though.

I daily my vehicle a lot so the mbrp might be my best bet. And without tips ? How is the in cabin noise at low rpm’s ? If you don’t have tips and you already like it it might be just Perfect for me.

Tips arent really needed for drone tbh for the MBRP. You can easily have people talk comfortably in the car without having to yell lol. Low RPMs is almost on par with stock under 1-2k, youll hear some nice burbles downshifting too. Past 2k RPMs as you approach WOT it screams, rightfully so.

Jun Bl is one of the best quality exhausts on the market and a great choice. I would be glad to put a package discount for you on any of the exhausts you are interested in.

I agree tips aren’t needed after doing some research and hearing a lot of yt clips. I would just get the tips for the aesthetic look. Do you know if mbrp tips will match up with their exhaust ? I see they have some options on their site.

Cant see the cost of those tips, but majority of the owners tend to use Akrapovic tips from AliExpress size 63x105. Affordable too. Shipping may take abit though.

These tips were a little expensive $109 carbon fiber just for one or about $60-$70 for matte black or silver . Just wanted some other options for exhaust tips to match up with mbrp exhaust besides the akrapovic

Check out my thread I just bumped with the Megan Racing Catback. It's another good option to kick around. There's a place that sells it for $625. Even comes with new bolts and gaskets. I've received a lot of compliments on it.
