Hello everyone! I'm Scott from sin city (Las Vegas, NV). I recently purchased my Silky Stinger GT2 about a month ago. A little backstory, I was in the market for a new car and was focused on getting a Dodge scat pack charger (SRT engine). I even had one picked out in California. The problem, I had never driven one. I heard all the power stuff and all the reviews...but never even sat in one.
So I planned on test driving one. Around the same time I had heard of this thing called the Kia Stinger. I saw some of the commercials, but didn't think much of it. BUT...they had a Kia place right down the street from where I was going to test drive the charger. So I setup an appointment for a GT1 Stinger test drive. I figured, why not...I mean it's not like I'm going to buy one. LOL!!
The wife and I show up at the dealership and the online sales rep greets us and hands us off to the salesman (he was a new one, we could tell). He brings around the white GT1 and begins his speech. I walked around while he was talking and didn't give him much mind. I then sat in it and wow! I was pretty impressed. We then began to drive and let's just say, wow again! The power, the technology, the comfort... nice! We then came back from the test drive and I told him we had a few other places to go. He did try to keep us, but I was firm on heading to the dodge place.
We get to the dodge place and test drive the charger. WOW!! Lots of power, loud as heck, and all that good stuff. I test drove it the same route as the Stinger. We came back and they did their best to sell us (of course)! So we drive off and all I could think about was the Stinger! I was not expecting it. The charger was, what it was. BUT...the Stinger was a shocker!! It just fit me better.
I'll end it this way, we drove back to the Kia place that night, went to the salesman and said "Sell us". While he was doing his back and forth thing, we saw the Silky GT2 in the showroom. My wife and I sat in it and said "This is the one".
Bottom line, I love this sexy beast! Thus far I've gotten 20% tint all around (70% front window), partial PPF, and ceramic coating.
So there's my short story.
