@Appl2noe
Cheese is definitly a thing, as there are about 450 kinds of swiss cheeses and we do like our fondue and raclette. However, Switzerland is also making good watches and houses CERN, so it's not all about yodeling
but you're right about the stereotypes.
To ask if we have good roads is a bit like asking if an ocean is wet
Switzerland is 70% Alps. It's basically difficult to find a straight road there. Remember we're also a tiny country, especially compared to the giant that is Canada, so we have a very dense network of roads and trails (for the bikers and hikers). The drawback? We have painful fines, kicking in early ... so going fast is a bit of a problem. At least the cars horses will help you have accelerating fun there after every curve.
Let me just post a few example roads. This is common around here and not special and far away. We have them everywhere and reachable within the hour, often many of these passes can be driven in sequence from valley to valley in a circle etc. It's a bit like living in the rockies I guess
(this one is only half in Switzerland, Rest italy)
And snow at the beginning/end of pass season (most are closed in winter).
Typical normal small sideroad across the less mountaneous regions:
