Hello to all from NC! Purchased a Panthera GT1 in Durham 2/28... their first one OTD and I think one of few this color / model if my searches were correct. I was holding out for a GT in Panthera just to save a few $$$ but did not happen.

I was hooked at first sight and now it's about as much fun as I've had in a car with my clothes still on. Having a few years on me, it reminds me of the rush I got when I first drove my '86 Regal T Type (3.8L turbo / intercooled). Was a real sleeper catching the auto industry by surprise as the fastest US production car that year, but I digress...

The GT1 fits this old dad of twin 5 year olds well. My son always wants to ride in the "fancy car" and asks to go faster, the daughter could care less. There are so many +++s (style/curves like a beautiful woman, performance, quality...) I hate to note a few negatives BUT.... how do u make blind spot monitoring not standard, radio just ok, summer tires - ok I get it, front growing on me but a little too F&F, like when I saw the first 370Z.

Take care and drive safe!

Welcome to the hive and congrats on your new Stinger! You'll find plenty of like-minded enthusiasts who are also very helpful and friendly on this forum! As a middle-aged 1st time father of a 4yr old boy, I can say you're indoctrinating them while they're at the perfect age to capture their hearts with your sexy new beast ;) Cheers!

Welcome!

"Old dad?" My two girls are about 40. And the Buick Grand National? Yeah, I was a GM-Subaru-BMW service manager when those came out. Like the Stinger, they punched well above their weight, but they had longevity problems with the turbochargers around 85,000 miles or so.

Welcome fellow RTP area owner! :D

Glad to see you joined the forums, I've only seen one GT2 in Raleigh a month back in blue. Hope to see you around at a cars and coffee event or on the road!

Unfortunately nothing which is now an issue with 5 vehicle and only 2 drivers.... daily driver will remain an 05 Camry with 260k on the clock but I also have a 2000 FRC C5 Vette that’s a garage queen; may need to sell this year. The GT1’s 25MPG is a little painful for a 50 mile work commute.

It sounds like you may be a bigger car nut than I am. :p From Camry to Corvette...

Congrats! Post some photos of the Panthers Metal, love to see more photos of that color. It has been late coming here.

FB8E8176-A550-458A-A098-EF4C28330007.webp Some progress on the avatar beauty...I’ve not welded in over 25 years but I was rather proud of this hand formed piece I got in using a $100 China welder. Progress is very slow. The weld to the section that still has some surface rust is not great but will out last me likely.
