I've been lurking off & on for a while. I got my blue GT for my birthday present last year. As I became acquainted with it, I found that someone had made many modifications to the car. I have been happy with most of it, but I had problems with the drop kit, as it has damaged the car in a few ways. I recently had the springs put back to OEM. Anyway, I thought I'd introduce myself. I look forward to talking with y'all! Next things I need to replace are the rear tires. Any recommendations?

Greetings. What kind of damage did the lowering springs do? I've only run Michelin summer tires (replaced the PS4 with PS4S) when it isn't winter: OEM size, staggered on TSW "Watkins" wheels. Right now I am on Nitto Motivo A/S UHP for winter, on the OEM GT wheels.

When I bought the car I noticed that it had dings underneath on the strip that runs under the doors. Then one evening I backed it up under an awning to shelter it from possible thunderstorms forecasted that night. There's a mild ramp up onto a concrete slab. At the top of the ramp, the plastic panel under the front end got snagged & damaged. Also, I scraped bottom going into a local parking lot, which was when I realized why there were dings underneath the doors, so even though I tried to be really careful leaving the lot, my front left corner scraped & cracked the front clip, under the grill & broke the tabs that hold the grill in place! I didn't know the car had been lowered, as I bought it used.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us. What did the Stinger replace for you?

The Stinger didn't actually replace anything. It took the pressure of commuting off of my old Chevy pickup which is getting on up there in age & miles. I also have a motorcycle & a couple of other cars (grocery getters). I haven't had a sportscar in over 30 years! My kids are grown & we're doing ok so my wife started bugging me to get something newer for myself. I was considering a Charger or Challenger, but it was actually my wife who pointed out the Stinger. I started researching & comparing them to other sportscars. The rest is history! I love the Stinger!
