Hello all!! I don’t have a Stinger yet but went and looked at one for the first time on Friday. I currently drive a 2016 Mustang GT Performance Pack but the time has come to get a more family friendly vehicle. I currently have one child and my wife and I are looking at growing our family.

My two choices are currently the Stinger GT1 or a Charger Scat Pack. Both seem to have something that the other doesn’t which makes the decision that much harder.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting with some of you.

Welcome aboard, @Carlos! Thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! You're at the right place to research the Stinger - and get information directly from owners. How much more performance are you getting out of the Charger (0-60, 1/4 mile times) and for what sacrifices compared to the Stinger? Obviously, the Stinger is going to be a far more luxurious car. But how much faster is the Charger?

Thank you. The Charger is about 0.5 sec faster in both 0-60 and the 1/4 mile.

In my opinion:

Stinger Pros:
Looks
Interior
Performance
Warranty
Uniqueness

Stinger Cons:
Size (Smaller than the Charger)
Sound
1st year production run makes me a little nervous

Charger Pros:
Looks
Performance
Size
Sound (big V8)

Charger Cons:
Interior (Cheap looking to me)
Commonality

The main thing on your list, for me, is the V8. Those Chargers sound really good. Outside of that, I could deal with the performance loss and, personally, the size is fine for me. Are you into tuning at all? Because if you are - it will be insanely easy to get back that 0.5 seconds. Also, are you aware that the Stinger is capable of a 0-60 run in 4.4 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.7? The Charger has had years to build up it's best numbers with great drivers. The Stinger hasn't yet...

Carlos, welcome to the forums!

When you refer to the sound are you talking about stereo or exhaust sound? I know the stock exhaust sounds like nothing but some aftermarket exhaust options sounds really good IMO!

Believe it or not, size is one of the main concerns at the moment. I too can deal with the performance loss. Although, I’ll be curious as to what some of these tuners will be able to do with the Stinger. Unfortunately for my wallet, my cars don’t stay stock for long. :)

Well, I'm not sure but I imagine the Charger has a much larger back seat. So there's that... In any event, I see you've been bitten by the mod bug before, huh? Always fun - and painful at the same time. :p I've had cars that I could bearly ever drive - but the fun was limitless when I could...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
