That really surprises me. Definitely would have had an impact (no pun intended) on the repair bill for the car. But I agree, there's no way the initial estimate they gave will end up being accurate. Sorry for the damage man, I hope things turn out well for you.

I don’t have any pics. It was dark and I was on a highway. I didn’t want to end up like the deer. I’ll post the video at some point. My phone won’t let me post a video so I have to go on the computer

Well... I hit a deer at 75mph and destroyed the front end of my Stinger. Got it on my dash cam. May or may not post the video. Anyone else felt this pain with their stinger?

I feel your pain. I hit two deer a year apart in my 2008 Infiniti G35, repairs were + $5000 each time.

Holly shit I'm glad u are ok, thankfully in La Florida where I live the only things that can do that kind of damage is if you hit an obese people which there are many here.

I was using cruise control at 75mph. I hit the brakes at the very last second, so I may have slowed down to 60-65. not sure exactly, but I will say this. The Brembos work extremely well. I came to a complete stop almost instantly... after hitting the deer.

Wow! Thanks for posting the vid. Yep, that's how fast it happens. The Whitetail is a beautiful animal... but so frickin' dumb!. I swear I've seen 'em crouching quietly 20 ft from the road, watch the car approach, then blast across the road as soon as the car gets near. Knuckleheads. One thing I noticed: looks like you got him right in the center-line, and the car/brakes kept things perfectly straight. Seriously, the car - and the driver - kept their cool after impact. To those wondering about keeping the venison: when you hit one that fast, it's an elongated pile of bones and goo....and hair
