I got the Spectre intake filter multiple guys used+a 90 degree hose and appropriate clamps. The problem I'm having right now is the bottom piece of stock intake that holds it in place from rattling, just doesn't let the intake drop down low enough to fit the strut bar back on. Are you guys removing that bottom stock intake case? Cutting it to make room for the tube to go through? Do I need to toss that bottom case and just make a bracket to stop it from rattling? In the pictures everyone posted it appeared that bottom half of the intake case was there?

If I take out the whole air filter/intake casing.. the intake fits easily, but then it bounces all around and rattles.

From what I’ve seen the intakes facing toward the rear of the car and manipulate the stock air inlet tube to allow the filter to rest on the bottom part of the air box and the install the strut. Otherwise you will need to remove the bottom portion and point the filters forward

You mean you have to move it around and angle it differently? The tube with the sensors attached is pretty stiff and doesn't seem like it will let me move it.

Got it! Only the driver's side is that difficult due to longer tubing with sensors attached. I basically just had to finagle it until I found a position that allowed me to bolt the strut brace on top. The passenger side went in with zero trouble. I hear so much air whooshing around, I hope it's not a leak and just really loud intake noises lol. The hose clamps are pretty dang tight. Is there any easy way to know if I indeed had a leak?

My AIT is higher at idle, but lower while driving on freeway. Which makes sense because at idle new set up has less protection from heat, but on move sucks more air and tonight it's in the 50s. going to try to wrap this heat shielding around it and test. Just trying to figure out how to wrap for ideal flow from strut bar.

I zip tied mine to the bottom part of the stock intake to hold it down

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I turned the intakes around the other way for less heat. Now gonna work on heat shielding.
