So driving home from work just a few minutes ago, and I was in Sport mode and having a bit of fun on the back country roads that lead to my house. Those roads can be so much fun, especially after the KIA Stinger Experience this weekend. I noticed a black Ford Focus RS behind me, keeping up with me. Yeah I was playing a bit, and when I hit a straight away right by my house I punched it, then did a quick right turn into my (a very long) driveway, and sure enough this guy followed me in.

He flashed his lights few times, and I started thinking, oh crap, an off-duty cop. Just what I need after the speeding ticket I received the second day I owned the Stinger. Nope, he was a real nice older gentleman who was really excited to see a Stinger in person. Said he had not seen one yet and was really interested to hear what I thought about my car. I of course, talked it up something fierce. I do LOVE my car. He was really surprised mine was the 2.0 the way I was taking off so quick and cornering like it was.

Yup, that made my day. I sooo LOVE my babe. Just awesome. :)

That's never happened to me. If it does ever happen I definitely won't lead them back to my house.

I understand wanting to check out a new car but that is completely inappropriate.

Yeah, I was a bit scared at first too. I did not lead him to my house, he followed me into the driveway. It was all good in the end, and he turned out to be a really nice guy.

That’s um...creepy. Ultimately a nice thing to have happen, but much better at a gas station or freeway exit than your home driveway.

Glad it was just a fellow enthusiast!

I was followed by an on duty cop a couple days after picking the car up. It was late at night, I was doing the speed limit and all that, and he flipped around, followed for a bit then flipped the cherries on. Pulled me over, mumbled something about registration and walked back to his car. No tickets, no warnings, all I got was, 'nice car man, I thought it was a BMW, have a nice night.' It was kind of flattering to be honest haha.

I didn't have someone follow me as such, it was more like they cut across 3 lanes of traffic and almost slammed into me trying to get my attention. Well, you got it now buddy. He was all "oh my God" and " that's so cool". Wanted to sit in it and if I would let him take it for a drive. Seriously dude? I thought I erased "moron" off of my forehead.

..................stopped for a coffee with the Mrs on Sunday parked in the hinterlands as usual but within site from the outdoor table we were sitting at , this guy in a pickup rolls in , parks a few feet back from my car gets out and takes 3 or 4 mins of video and then took a pile of selfies with it . He was respectful and didnt touch ...............when he was getting back into his truck he looked over and pointed to me then the car , and I knodded , huge thumbs up and he drove away ....................I've said it before , I never got anywhere near this much attention driving BMW's . We had the 1st 650 convertible in this area and it was "just another BMW " ........................all fun !

so scary, i got followed home by a mustang GT wanting to race. seriously kia, what have you created?!?

Went and hit some balls at the driving range this afternoon. When I started walking back out toward the parking lot, I saw two guys in their 30's looking pretty closely at my Stinger. As I got closer, they noticed me coming and nonchalantly strolled back over toward their cars. I thought they might say something, but they avoided eye contact. One got into an M3 and the other into a 330i. Maybe they would have been embarrassed to admit they were admiring my Stinger!
