Has anyone tried removing the driver side grab handle?

I removed mine, because with a helmet on, I kept bumping into it when doing auto-x / hpde. I just leave it off.

Edit: I'm 6'1", but I guess lots of torso? This happens even with the seat all the way down, and mostly back.

Im currently dealing with this on my 2022 GT2, dealer has wrapped the brackets in felt tape but the creak is still there. Now they want to pull the entire headliner out to try to address the issue.. any suggestions?

Anyone find some suitable plugs for the holes??

I recall doing this delete on my Subaru wrx buy they had plastic plugs to cover the holes in the base models..

After a couple days of trying to find the noise I found the culprit! There is a small white foam square between the headliner and metal roof. It is located around where the seatbelt pillar is. I just pulled them out on both sides. This along with using a little felt tape on the back of where the grab handle screws in has stopped all creaking noises in my car.

Did you have to pull the headliner to get to them?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

No need to pull the headliner.. in fact that's what I didn't want the dealer to do, because there is some glue/tape that holds it up and prevents sag from the factory.. once pulled its almost never the same.

Just pull the rubber door weather seal down on the top towards the rear of the front door, then you will have to slightly go between the headliner and body and you will see the White foam block that could be causing the sound. 2 Options: remove completely like I did or get a sharp knife and trim it down to prevent rubbing on the metal. Careful with the airbag as its in there also!
