I got into my car this morning and I couldn’t get any music sources to play.

Beep tone, factory navigation, BT hands free calling, CarPlay Siri, and Carplay Apple maps navigation all work and come through the speakers just fine.

AM/FM radio, Sirius XM radio, BT audio streaming, Carplay audio, Aux. audio input are all not working.

Volume is up, not muted, source volumes in the settings is up, tone is set to +3 or +4 on everything.
What the heck, am I missing a setting somewhere? It was working when I parked the car last night.

I don’t think it’s related to my subwoofer install as I’ve had them in for 2 weeks with no problems and all the other audio works. But I’m certainly not ruling it out.
I’m going to feel really dumb if this is something simple…

I don't know the fuse layout in the Stinger (a real monster) but check the fuses for the various circuits related to your subs and radio (if separate.)

Damn, I hate it when you can't just buy a service manual like in the old days .....:(

Are you playing from a USB?

Tonight I'll check fuses.
If I can't find anything there I will take pictures of all my setting screens, station presets, nav, etc. and pull the ground on the battery.
I think it took me 45 minutes to set everything up the first time :(

If the USB gets hot it will start to play up by losing a channel. Usually USB s that use data transfer 3.0 are the issue as I found out. If it is the USB and it’s not hot then give it a wiggle.

I've tried the radio, USB, and the Aux input. None work.
But any other audio does.

There is probably a short some where in that area in the wiring.

Hmmm, I just went out to take quick pictures of all settings and the audio worked. Then it dropped out when volume was turned below 3, then came back when I turned it up, then it worked when turned down to 1.

It's a mystery

Try hitting the reset button on the head unit and see if that don't solve it.

Where is that animal? Is it a physical button?

on my 9 speaker system, it's just to the right of the radio button, need something pointy to push it in.. I would think the HK system would have it in the same spot.

Well damn. There is indeed a little button to the right of the radio button.
Thanks!

Sounds like the bug that also affects Sorento and other UVO systems. Leave the car off for at least 15 minutes (long enough for the infotainment system to shut down fully) and on restart it'll work fine - if it's the same bug, anyway...

The reset button is quicker than 15 minutes :).. I learned about the reset button on my Sorento that would only play the sound out of the back speakers after a direction from nav or sometimes the nav wouldn't talk at all but other sources worked fine. Just hit that button and everything would be working again. Good thing is you wouldn't lose presets.
