Well, the new commodore is a dud....no other word for it, been on sale since Feb.18 & I’ve only seen about five in the wild....totally unheard of in times past. It’s a shame that even dressed up as a V8 Supercar the new Commodore looks crap with that front grille. Oh not to mention it’s the only way you’ll see a new Commodore in a V8. I wonder if they’re still running the old one and just stuck a new grille on it for branding purposes?
Mustang and Camaro will be good to watch. I’d love to see how a stinger goes but I thought Kia Australia had ruled it out at this point based on cost of setting up a team etc. Hopefully they change their mind especially since there’s Nissans & Volvos in the race. I’m surprised the 4 ringed monkey spankers don’t have an entry, they do the 12 hour enduro at Bathurst.Well, the new commodore is a dud....no other word for it, been on sale since Feb.18 & I’ve only seen about five in the wild....totally unheard of in times past.
Next year ford are using Mustang & there’s talk some teams Holden want to use Camero, I wouldn’t mind seeing a team like GRM or Erebus use a Stinger.
Yeah but it’s got that shit new Commodore grille. Just looks wrongCurrent leader, go Dave Reynolds, my pick for the day.

Most manufacturers don’t directly set up teams anymore, they financially & technically support teams like GRM, Erebus, BJR etc.Mustang and Camaro will be good to watch. Totally agree the new Commodore is a dud despite the wankers at Car Advice writing articles to try and convince people otherwise. I saw one yesterday but they are few and far between.
Our work fleet was predominantly Falcon & Commodore, but we’re now getting Sonata, Santa Fe & Sorrento as replacements, haven’t heard talk of the new Commodore being used but who knows. I’ll drive it as a work car if that’s what they give us but there’s no way I’d ever buy one
Also saw a silky silver Stinger at Terrigal yesterday, you didn’t sneak up to the Central Coast did you lol
Haha I’ll see how I go, could’ve been a school holiday blow in, but I’ve seen the odd Stinger around the coastMost manufacturers don’t directly set up teams anymore, they financially & technically support teams like GRM, Erebus, BJR etc.
No not at Terrigal yesterday, you now have to track him down.
Nice, my spottings are few & far between as well, are you attending the run on the 28th?Haha I’ll see how I go, could’ve been a school holiday blow in, but I’ve seen the odd Stinger around the coast
No I’m working nights so can’t make itNice, my spottings are few & far between as well, are you attending the run on the 28th?
That’s a shame, maybe next time we can catch up.No I’m working nights so can’t make it
Yeah there’s bound to be one where I can make itThat’s a shame, maybe next time we can catch up.

I call bullshit on Holden’s survey, nobody in Australia wants that piece of crap associated with the Commodore name.As far as I’m concerned the Camero shouldn’t be allowed to race in the V8s. It’s a outright import car that’s being converted to right hand drive in Australia by HSV. Gee...we may as well bring every American muscle car here, convert it to right hand drive and let it race in our mighty Supercars series. At least the mighty Mustang is made as a right hook car in the states then shipped out to Australia. Plus a stang is a “FORD” but the other bucket of bolts is a “CHEV”. Holden reckons they did a survey and asked their silly dunnydore lovers if they wanted to keep the Commodore name on the new car and the majority voted yes lol. Why would you want to have that name put on a car that’s not made here. What a insult to all the workers that over the years built the commodore in Australia and god it is just so ugly
