3.3TT Had a troubling issue today, possibly JB4 related.

Dealer can not reprogram for a tune. They won’t dive into issues you’re having from modifying their product. Nothing good will come from involving the dealer unless your resort back to stock and advise of issue

i could not answer that question as i still have the stock downpipes on my Stinger. Maybe someone else who may have a similar issue and has installed aftermarket downpipes could.

OP Followup, seems have been just the gas, have filled up with just 93 twice now. Running in map2 and have no issues at WOT. After another refill I will try the blend again and will see how map3 performs.

Is that with ark downpipes or any downpipes

For the most part I think it would apply to any performance after market downpipes. I could explain the science behind it but im pretty beat it’s been a LOONG day on top of a LOONNNG WEEK. Maybe tomorrow or Monday.

Problem has returned. Gas appears to be unrelated. Running in MAP 0 for several tanks now. Next thing im trying is new plugs. Appears to be a large buildup of black on my exhaust tips.

Try to determine the cause of the premature fouling unless they have several miles on them. If not, you'll be back to square one. Running rich? Do some logging.....

I’m having a very similar issue. My plugs are brand new. It all started after a E30 tank. I also installed a FMIC that same day.

Do you have a TUNE
Yes I have jb4. It all started on the same day I installed a FMIC and did an e30 mix. It was a little too strong. 5.4 gal of e85 and the rest 93. My last safety is a 3 on my jb4 which is low fuel pressure. I did get a CEL one time when it fell on its face and it came up as an over boost.... Its like I’m chasing ghosts.

Did anyone "progressively" make their way to e30, exhaust, intakes, etc????? Not trying to bust any chops and i am certainly not the expert but it does seem like a LOT of upgrades at once without "confirmation"(meaning TONS of progressive LOGS at each stage of the process) before combining everything???????? That makes the troubleshooting a MAJOR pain in the A**.......

I personally did intakes and Mid pipes and BOV’s first. Then added plugs and jb4. The did my exhaust. Toyed with E30 and had did many logs and adjustments with Will and Terry. I then added my FMIC and mixed more E85 than I had before which was 5.4 gal to a full tank of 93 when before I had only mixed 5 and 5.2 gal of e85 in 93. But that’s just me.... I’ve been toying and tuning since September to now where I have picked up my issue.

I ran 93 on map2 for over a year with intakes and plugs before they map3 with initially 4 gallons of e85 to 93 and then 5 gallons. The mixing went fine for about 3 months before the issue started.

I plan to resume the same routine but add techron every oil change. Well see what happened in another 1.5 years

Finally fixed, my spark plugs were indeed carbon fouled. Test driven multiple days with lots of WOT and no issues.
No horse in this race but is the mixture running too cool?

"Carbon fouling occurs when the spark plug firing end does not reach the self-cleaning temperature of approximately 450°C (842°F). Carbon deposits will begin to burn off from the insulator nose when the self-cleaning temperature is reached"

Again, not much input here other than new plugs may have cleared the issue for now BUT finding the cause for the fouling in the first place is probably where you need to focus......otherwise, back to square one but with progressively worse outcome....protect the engine at all costs. Same routine, same results.
