My 2019 Stinger manual recommends using “Autosock fabric chains” with my RWD 2019 Stinger base. I actually went to Les Schwab Tires (in Portland, Oregon) asking about chains for the Potenza 225 R18 tires that came with my Stinger. They told me that they didn’t stock chains for that size tire and instead recommended Autosocks. I’ve never used Autosocks and am skeptical that they can be as grippy as chains and the dealer at Schwab agreed. Portland, Oregon only rarely gets snow, so I opted for RWD rather than AWD when I purchased my Stinger. The only scenario I see needing chains is if a sudden snow storm unexpectedly dumps a lot of snow quickly while I’m at work(this has only happened once during the past 15 years I’ve lived in Portland). The Autosocks are easier to place on the tires and also less expensive than chains. If not used, Schwab allows returns for full refunds after the winter, so I purchased a pair.
