Hey guys,
My wife and I were able to negotiate our local dealership in VA down to $36,995 for a white GT1 (no drive wise/remote start, etc) just bare bones really. The price just seems really low and I’m sure they’ll try to make some of that back when it comes to financing(which we didn’t discuss yet). Do you think the price is good as long as they don’t try to pull anything with financing.

good price, watch that financing. I haven't been to a kia dealer as I'm waiting for the 2019s, but I bought a ford a few years ago and they were like your payments could be 704 per month... for 84 months. $45K for a $35K car. (7% APR) They tried to pull a fast one by talking about payments rather than total price. got financing someplace else for 646 per month for 60 months then payed it off early.

EDIT: My math sucks $704 per month times 84 months is $59K. They wanted to trick me into doubling the price of the car... So, um... Watch out for that sort of stuff. If the fincancing doesn't sound good and the final number is too high def go to a credit union and see what they can do.

Great price. Go and get a loan through a credit union as a back up.

Cool, thanks guys. We have a loan as backup but they’ll try to remove the $2k KMF incentive if we don’t go through KMf for financing which will be another battle, but either way I should be coming home with my stinger today since I think it’s a decent deal regardless!

Looks like a pretty good price to me. Is that RWD or AWD?

It looks good but you didn’t give details on MSRP, dealer discount, KIA cash, etc.m need more info.

Ok so here’s what I got at Koons Kia(Woodbridge,VA)
MSRP $44,205
KMF rebate -$2k
Owner loyalty -$3k
Koons discount -$5,505 (originally 4,500 but we negotiated more)
Dest fee +$990
Process fee + $699
Taxes + 1,536
Tag + 70
Total $36,995

KMF 2.9 APR/66 months

GT1-RWD-White
Options-cargo mat,wheels locks, cargo net

That break down is giving me the vapors (fans self)

That's a pretty small KMF rebate. Otherwise it all looks good.

That’s the finance rebate. Congrats on your ride!

if you're financing the entire amount, it looks like getting rid of the 2k KMF rebate and going with the 0% apr instead would be cheaper?

Thank you for this, I'm looking to buy the GT base with AWD but the color I want (Micro Blue) my local dealer only has with the Drive Wise package, which sets the MSRP at $43,450, right where your deal was at. Armed with this knowledge, I'll be more prepared to push for a good deal!

Thanks!

FYI - Destination is built into MSRP so you're getting double charged or another way to look at it is you negotiated another $1005 dealer discount but they negated $990 of it by adding the destination charge back in.

Thanks again Mack-VA! I was able to get my GT for $37,850 out the door! Not as good as your pricing, but still good enough that I'm well satisfied!

...I have to say, the GT in micro blue looks even better in person!
