Are you running bone stock? Is your GT RWD or AWD? Was it from a standstill or a rolling start? Approx outside temp?Had a couple of goes against this one. It was pretty close but the Stinger walks away in the end. The dude was really not happy about it.

Awesome! Good jobBone stock, RWD. Standing start (no launch control) and about 26C ambient temp.
Awesome! Good jobThe RWD GT is faster than the AWD GT, I wonder if the AWD GT would be nose to nose with the GLA45/CLA45?
The gla 45 has less power or same depending on the year and is lighter. Its night and day difference launching the gla with lc vs not. If you didnt hear the four wheel burnout they didnt use lc.
I have both cars but havent done track or dragy with the gla45 yet.
GLA has way more lag. But the advertised 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are almost identical. Stinger runs faster than the weight and hp would suggest. Its a bit under rated for power.Hmmm must have mixed up my numbers. Swore I read 1900kg for the gla45. Makes me wonder why I won then coz more power and lighter weight means he should have got away but in 2 line ups I was definitely pulling away and I could hear him winding out the engine.
We didn’t get AWD in OZ.Are you running bone stock? Is your GT RWD or AWD? Was it from a standstill or a rolling start? Approx outside temp?
Yeah I read that, later on. Would you have chosen the AWD over the RWD, down in Australia? Do you actually NEED AWD's?? Where's the snow at?We didn’t get AWD in OZ.
I know there's some ski resorts in southeast Australia, so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they usually get snow in the mountain ranges in those areas lolYeah I read that, later on. Personally I would have still gone RWD, Australia is nearly the same size as North America excluding Canada & Alaska, as for snow we would get a postage stamp size compared to you guys so AWD not a big deal for most.Yeah I read that, later on. In the city I live in, we get an average of 375cm (148 inches) of snow per winter (yearly average of the last 10 years). 10 years ago, we had the worst winter (snowfall wise) in our history : 558cm (220 inches) of snow. Let's say that winters, here, are a piece of work! That's why AWD cars are a MUST. Half (maybe 2/3) of the cars on the road, here, are AWD SUV's. Without those harsh conditions, I'd have definitely gone for the RWD Stinger, but it's not even available to us Canadian.Personally I would have still gone RWD, Australia is nearly the same size as North America excluding Canada & Alaska, as for snow we would get a postage stamp size compared to you guys so AWD not a big deal for most.
Man that’s a lot of snow, we are lucky just to get that in average rainfall in a year.In the city I live in, we get an average of 375cm (148 inches) of snow per winter (yearly average of the last 10 years). 10 years ago, we had the worst winter (snowfall wise) in our history : 558cm (220 inches) of snow. Lots of ppl whinge about not getting the AWD versions of cars here but in reality very few ppl actually need it. If given the option I'd have given it a go (never actually driven an AWD) but it'd depend on how it drives whether I'd actually pull the trigger on it.
That was the dilemma for me. I settle for the GT instead of the GT Limited (what comes standard here on both models are very different from you guys, I really don't know why). 6K$ difference for basically technology only. I decided to pass on 360 camera (I have a backup camera and a head that can rotate), HK sound system, cooled seats, nappa leather, wireless charger, lane keeping assist & adaptative cruisecontrol (which I totally hate, glad I don't have it!), nav system (who cares when you have Android Auto) and Head-up Display.I'm question myself all the time on why I insisted on getting all this driver assistance crap. Never use it, but sure paid for it....DA!

It's a lot of technology, yes, but does it actually contribute/help making the car faster, more cornering grip, more sexy on the outside, more menacing? No it does not. I figured that an extra 100$ a month for gadgets isn't worth it. If there would have had any type of performance enhancement, I would've been all over it.
For the adaptative cruise control, my wife has it on her 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited w/EyeSight package and we both can't stand it. It's a matter of opinion and personnal taste, which isn't debatable. Glad you like itI do a fair bit of driving on single lane highways and having adaptive cruise is a godsend when ur trapped for long periods behind someone who's varying their speed by 20kmh or more constantly. I like the hud coz I can spend more time looking at the road. As for the other stuff it's a nice to have but wouldn't miss it if it was gone. Most of it really helps with fatigue on a long trip.
