Good morning all!

Thought I'd introduce myself to the group. My name is Dan and I picked up a Stinger GT2 AWD about two weeks ago. Didn't get a chance to really drive it until last week since it snowed in Maryland the week that I bought it and since it has summer tires.

I am coming into the Stinger from a 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS thanks to Kid #1 due in May. Needed the practicality, although I really loved that Camaro (wanted an FBody since I was 3 thanks to Knight Rider).

I'm new to Kia in general. The car I owned for 11 years before the Camaro was a Honda Prelude, also a car I loved. I'm looking forward to making many fond memories with this new purchase :).

Sore spot, though: I drove the car away from the dealership around 11pm (bought it when they were closing) and noticed a rattle coming from the hatch area. Seems like this is a common issue from what I've seen on here. Any permanent fixes? There also seems to be a very faint rattle from either the steering wheel or column. Anyone else?

Anyhow, just thought I'd introduce myself.

Welcome Dan! Yea, the rattle is a known issue. The dealer should be able to fix it no problem. As for the steering wheel column issue, that's a first. I'd keep an eye on that one or just have them look at it when you take it in. Welcome again to the forum and throw up some pics of your new ride when you get a chance

welcome to the hive! congrats on your new additions to the family. there is a post on the forum that tells you how other members fixed the rattle, basically just a couple of turns of the bolt that holds the bump stop. and, i also, have not heard anything about the steering column. i would definitely go back to dealer and have them look at it.

Yep, hatch rattle is very common and mostly an easy fix.

Steering column rattle is the first time anyone has had an issue with it.

I'd take it back to dealer to have them fix both problems.
