Hello everyone!

First I'll introduce myself. I'm Ben. :)

I used to have a white 2013 Kia Pro_Cee'd GT (I called him Sproket the Pocket Rocket) and it was a phenomenal little car. Easily a full second faster to 60 than what Kia claimed (6.4s vs 7.4s), built like a tank, handled great and was quite the looker.

So it certainly left an impression on me on the kind of car Kia could provide.

Right now I own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT in black.

The Mustang is only 14 months old, and it broke down today (just a loose coolant hose, its a very minor fix), but Ford's customer service is so terrible that I am honestly thinking of Jumping ship back to Kia. The actual Mustang is fine, it's my dream car and I will be mourning the day I let him go, but the three occasions I've had to deal with Ford's customer service have left me infuriated with blood pressure through the ceiling. If I have to deal with them again I might end up killing someone. Hell, they didn't even service the car properly when I took it in, I had to get it double-checked by Jaguar.

So here I am wondering if anyone has more information on the Kia Stinger in the UK. If Ford cross the line with me for a forth time, I'll be exchanging the car for the 3.3 V6 GT. I hate Ford that much.

I honestly could not care less about driver aids or sat nav. As long as it has a big engine and rear wheel drive I'll be content - so I'd probably be looking at a base model GT. Does anyone have any pricing information for the UK models yes?

Thank you!

-Ben

Welcome aboard, Ben! Thank you for signing up. Yes, your Kia was a pretty good looking little car! The Mustang is REALLY nice. But I know exactly what you mean about Ford service. I had a 2012 Focus for awhile and it had lots of transmission trouble. Service was horrible. So I know how the customer service experience can be a deciding factor in automobile ownership. But, damn - that Mustang is nice...

I don't have pricing information for you - I'll let somebody else chime in on that. In the meantime, I'm glad you found us! :)

Hi Ben.
Nice (really nice) Mustang, but yes the Stinger and Kia will be a cut above (i.e. quality and service)...we all hope!
And V6 GT is certainly set to match your performance needs also.

Recent UK preview here; http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/kia/stinger-gt/99147/new-kia-stinger-uk-pre-production-review
Expected price in here say; ...diesel at £35,000 and GT set to cost around £41,000...

But those price estimates I think are personally pegged a tad too high, as they need to be undercutting BMW and Audi rivals. Not be on par or and certainly not above! Should be closer to your Mustang pricing I would think.

Hope that helps...

I'm hoping that a nicely equipped GT will be priced in the 42 to $45,000 price point. If so, I'll be signing my name on the dotted line... and that would be right quick, as they say in the deep south!

£41,000 still isn't bad by any means. Faster than a 335i M-Sport Automatic and it will undoubtedly have more standard equipment. Limited Slip Diff is a £5000 option on BMWs outside of the M-series cars. But yes, given the new Tax laws in the UK, they must come in at under £40k. That way it will only be £140 per year, rather than nearly £500.

Yeah, the Mustang is a beauty but I cannot for the life of me continue putting myself at risk of cardiac arrest before the age of 30 with their level of service. First thing I'll have to do is get a new Exhaust on the Stinger like I did the Mustang (resonator delete with H-Pipe and mufflers that don't really muffle anything). If I have a V6 I have to let it sing at full volume! I've already signed up for announcements from my local Kia dealer where I bought the Pro_Cee'd GT. Hopefully I should be one of the first people to get a test drive in the area.

If it's priced below £40k it'll be difficult to say no. I could sell the stang for £32k without even trying, and by the end of the year I'll only owe £20k - £12k deposit so should be a good jumping off point indeed!
