Just got the GT2 AWD today. Very awesome. Loved my Optima SXL I traded on it with the 360 degree camera monitoring system. Very much missing in my GT2. Disappointing!!

I do get a green Electronic Steering light (no exclamation point next too it). Can't find anywhere what this light coming and going actually means. Any help??

I’m guessing it’s the LKA icon for when it’s operational and you can take your hands off the wheel.
Oh and congratulations

The green steering wheel in the hud is part of the lane departure warning, it drove me mad as the manual only lists it as red with an exclamation mark. Turned it off & it went away, no good on winding roads more useful in freeway driving.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Oh and congrats on your new toy, it’s a real joy to drive & own.

Welcome aboard, @Bobby Drean! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger GT! What year was your Optima? The SXL is such a head turner - (for me) especially in white with tinted windows... Well! It looks like you got an answer to your question! If only we could install that surround view camera for you.

Thanks for the answers, everyone! :)

Thanks for the enlightenment on the light. As I think about it, I guess it represents that you are driving within the boundaries of the lane departure range. Seems like overkill. With my 2016 Optima SXL, I turned the Lane Departure off because it was so loud with the beeping and not sound configurable like my Wife’s 2016 Sorento SXL. And speaking of my Optima SXL vs new Stinger, I am not only lamenting the loss of the 360 degree view function, but my son is missing the heated back seats and the full panoramic window. The Optima was a beauty. However, loving, loving the Stinger big time. Likely the next gen Stinger will evolve in the missing features just like they did for the Optima SXL over a couple years.

Yes, I'm sure the KMA marketing engineers are hard at work on developing such never-seen-before technology.

Well, what I meant was that they will include the already existing technology in the next gen Stinger, of course.

This is indeed the lane keeping assist feature. When your car drifts over a road line without a turn signal, then you get the beep and flashing line to alert you (lane departure warning). If you don’t manually correct back to the position between the lines, the car will automatically gently drift you back between the lines. When the green steering wheel is displayed, it means the automatic drift back feature is active. Here is a web site that explains this feature more in generic terms (not by Kia). Pretty cool actually.

Yes, the Stinger will evolve and gain more features as time goes on. I have a strong feeling a few things were left out of the Stinger to separate it a bit from the upcoming Genesis G70. I bet the Stinger's midcycle refresh will have "everything"...

The sarcasm is strong with this one. :p
