Did you happen to see your fuel gauge at that speed? Can you see the needle moving?
Fuel consumption was absolutely the last thing on my mind. If the Stinger did not feel absolutely stable (hunkered down) at those speeds, I would not have even snatched a glance at the speed readout.

Oh, wait, I see what I said there: no, I did NOT go 155 MPH for half an hour. I meant that my window of opportunity was over half an hour long. I only touched 155 once; I did a few runs prior to that reaching into the 140s. It was a glorious afternoon. :)
What did the Stinger feel like at that speed??

EDIT: Disregard this question, you answered it on your next post.

Have you ever been on Hwy 95 in Oregon, heading for Nevada? I knew something up ahead was up: no traffic, for miles; nobody behind me was going to catch me, so perfectly safe from that direction; no side roads, only an arrow-straight two lane highway visible for miles, and no traffic, at all, in either directionView attachment 53380.
I seized the moment and went fast. It has not been a condition that has repeated itself (traffic was held back miles ahead for some roadwork).

My answer to the OP is there is a time and place as long as you're not an idiot.

Here is a great video showing the top speed capability of the Stinger on an no speed limit autobahn. TopNL is one of my favourite youtubers.

This guy is a bit of an idiot but who knew the Stinger could comfortably cruise at 272kph (169mph) at 4,200rpm, that 8th gear is tall, makes me wonder what the car is actually limited to without a governor.
