3.3TT Going through spark plugs

A Bimmer with curves... Nice!

Trust me, all that and MORE has been said since I got it.......LOL. Still on the forum because I did love the Stinger and had fun with the jb4 so love sharing knowledge when asked.....besides, most of the guys on the Supra forum are very spoiled!!!!!

Anyway, although it has a very good transmission, if the Stinger had this ZF4 tranny, I would never have traded it or gotten the '22 GT(the 2.5T was also in the running) that I was cross-shopping with the Supra. IT IS TRULY AMAZING!!!!

Correction: should have been "ZF8" instead of "ZF4".......That is why the Bimmer folks call it: "Zede 8"........

Oh, I think the Supra is great, but I am definitely one of the people that hate that everything you see and everything you touch, other than the bodywork, either says BMW or is an unlabeled BMW part. Toyota is the #1 seller in the world, how is it even possible they couldn't build their own Supra? They put more effort into the Corolla than the Supra, which, BTW, should be their flagship car... Thankfully, for those who bought one like yourself, BMW bailed them out. Enjoy the new ride.

Fair enough.....I had similar feelings until I took the test drive and didn't look back. According to number crunchers, had Toyota resurrected the Supra on their own, it would have been more like an $80K vehicle which compared to 'vettes and Porsches, would not sell very well.

Was never a BMW guy and when the Supra made it's name in the 90's, I went for the 3rd gen FD RX-7 instead. This is the first car that gave me goosebumps just by getting in the seat since that car.....Stinger was close.....

It happen to me. I found some from NGK haven’t had any problems yet

To the original question, I too have gone through two sets of Densos in the same amount of miles. I gapped them to .022 using feelers and a gapping tool similar to what BMS sells I just switched to HKS and I had the best timing in my logs since purchasing the car... Except now I'm having timing issues on cylinder 3. The other 5 cylinders are spot on though which is better than I ever had with the Densos. Fingers crossed my cylinder 3 issue is a quick fix and I can get back to 100% soon.

EDIT: I replaced my Denso plugs due to bad timing in my logs, but never had a misfire or CEL.
I'm about to be pulling my 2nd set of densos out too. I ordered the HKS M45iL this time. Am I supposed to gap the HKS plugs to .022? I haven't been able to find a clear answer on this. The guy from the k8 stinger store recommended not to change the gap. I'm running the jb4 so I would think they should probably be at .022

Does anyone know if the HKS plugs should be gapped at .022 for use with the jb4?

.022-.024
