Ghost Stories anybody?

Seeing as we are a couple days from Halloween hope yall stay safe and have fun.

But just curious does anybody have any Ghosts stories to share? Or any spooky story in general? Pics? Video?

The universe is a complex place and strange encounters happen. Sometimes they are set up beforehand. For instance:

On April Fool's day, 2019, in the afternoon, I was in the care center courtyard with my mother who was a resident and ninety-three years old. She was sitting with her eyes closed, in the sunlight with a light breeze moving her disarrayed white hair. Suddenly she started to sing; her quavery voice sang the whole way through "Skylark". This was strange behavior, because my mother had not sung anything in years. When I got home, I looked up "Skylark" on YouTube, because it sounded vaguely familiar (I have no recollection of my mother ever singing this one before): Linda Ronstadt, ah hah, now I remember this one from her "Lush Life" album. Then the months passed, and finally my mom passed on the 2nd of December. Now the odd encounter part: It was near eight-thirty in the morning and I had just sat down to my computer. A random thought about "Skylark" entered my head and I felt an interest in hearing Linda sing it again. I pulled it up and turned up the volume (hadn't thought about it since that April Fool's day afternoon). As the last notes of the instruments were fading from the room, the phone rang. My sister was calling to announce that mom had just passed away while she was watching. So, that was mom's way of saying "goodbye" to me, and it had been put in place over half a year before.

That it what is called a coincidence. if you don’t think so, prove the mechanics of this event and win your Nobel prize.
Sure, the universe is a vast mysterious place, and so is the human imagination.

There isn't anything the least imaginary about what I experienced. Coincidence is always the facile answer to odd timing of things. When dealing with death, coincidence doesn't answer the awe of meaningful timing.

Coincidence happens all day everyday. Some are more noticeable than others. The fact that this particular one happened around the death of your mother simply made it stand out more. Grief is an extremely powerful emotion, the loss of a loved one can make people believe anything to help relieve it, fully understand and sympathize. But don’t think for one second that I’ll give you a hall pass because of it.

You can't definitively say 'Ghosts don't exist,' when A LOT of things didn't 'exist' prior to science discovering them. A better answer would be there is no current scientific proof that ghosts exist.

Yes, just like unicorns and dragons and whatever mythology you can possibly imagine. That science answer, while being technically true, doesn't give that so called hall pass to anything your imagination can think off. That my friend is being rational.
Ghost they say, can creek flloor boards, slam doors and give you “messages“ beyond the grave, so this being said, they seem to some, to have the ability to interact with reality, but why stop at the minimal, why can’t the ghost who slammed the door, walk up and break your nose?

let’s think about this shall we. Ever since life began on this planet, in all the animal kingdom, and that includes us for those religious folk amazing us, there has been trillions of life forms that have passed on so to speak. With that being said, Wouldn’t it be rather rational to believe that even if only a small percentage of life forms that have passed on became ghosts, that we would literally have a ghost epidemic, so much so that you could even take a crap with out the pesky toilet ghost constantly unraveling the toilet paper roll onto the floor.

But no, in all my 50 years I’ve roamed this land without one single encounter, well not one that didn’t have another simple, yet not at first, obvious explanation.

i do that as well, can't sleep anymore, it's not those exact times, but 2 then 3 then 4, between those 3 early morning hours. they say that's when the spirit veil is thin

When did this thread become about believing in ghosts? You don't have to believe in ghosts to enjoy a clever ghost story. I don't believe in them, but The Haunting of Hill House scared the crap out of me; I love "The Turn of the Screw"; and pleeeeze don't tell me you didn't enjoy "Ghostbusters" because you don't believe in ghosts!

Unfortunately, I don't have one to share, but my lack of belief won't keep me from enjoying if any of you have one to share.

When I was about 16-17 I had a friend that lived in an older house. They had some odd pictures that they had taken with this glowing orb in it, could have just been some kind of issue with the camera or something, but there were weird things like that. Well his aunt moved into their house for a while, she was going through a bad divorce and was in a bad place. His dad had built a room in between the garage and the house to connect them and that's where she was staying. She had a little dog and a short while after she moved in we would hear the dog would start going berserk and then the door to that room would open and slam shut repeatedly. There was a lot of other weird stuff that happened in that house but that's the one that stands out the most. Obviously it could have been a very good prank by him, but no one else was home with us when it happened and he never admitted to it being a prank, so who knows what it was.
