Live in Aus on the mid north coast of NSW and I just ordered a 2021 GT in Panthera metal. Should be here in around 2 weeks so the dealer says.

Will post some pics when i get it. Already learnt alot just from reading the forum, Seems like you guys have a great community on here and look forward to chatting to and learning from you all.

I personally am not a fan of the Panthera metal. It's a lot like black, shows everything. I only got it cuz it was either that, white or black when I bought my Stinger. I couldn't find any of the colors I wanted at the time. Hope you enjoy it though!

Thanks mate! I have someone lined up to do ceramic coating on it as soon as it arrives so hopefully that keeps it a bit easier to keep clean

Don't get me wrong, the color looks nice but just like black, it only looks good when really clean. Other colors don't show scratches and dust nearly as much.

The problem about that is you generally only know this after you buy the car. With the exception of black of course which everyone knows is damn hard to keep clean and free of swirls. You live and learn I suppose.

Let me know who and how you have arranged the coating with, I am thinking to do the same.

I've had black and really dark grey cars before, so I knew how it was gonna be. My last car (2007 Grand Prix)




was grey but it was darker than silver, yet lighter than Panthera metal. That car took awhile to show dust, it was great. I wanted Ceramic silver but little did I know you couldn't even get that color on a 2020 gt.

Yea that's true mate. I have a silhouette G6ET at the moment and have had black cars in the past so i know they are a bit of a mission but I am a sucker for a black car haha!

I'm hoping my foam gun / gerni setup with the paint protection will make it a little easier on me, But time will tell I guess.

For the coating I went with "Permaguard" interior and exterior which the dealer is applying for me. I have read mixed reviews... There aren't really any detailers / paint shops here that I would trust to do it for me with other products and this way I have a reputable business to go back to should anything happen with it. I am also not that handy doing that sort of thing to a new car so me doing it myself was out of the question.

No worries. I am happy for you!

I am just not thrilled with the taillight and exhaust (that exposes the real ones more prominently). Athough the interior looks better.

Still will probably get another Stinger when my current lease is up though.

Have fun with it!
