in a just released article in the well reputated Magazine "Stern" they are talkin about 50.000 € for the 2.2 diesel to start with, and 70.000 € for the 3.3. GT.
the tax rules in Germany are not similar to the rules in Austria. In Germany the is no tax for CO2-emissions (yet).

If the pricetag will be almost like what is written I am out, and I Thing they will be able only to sell a very few over here in Germany because german Drivers are very conservative and won't choose a KIA for that Money.

here is the article (in german)
http://www.stern.de/auto/news/kia-stinger-gt4-awd-koreanische-ambitionen-7595048.html

It's getting more and more expensive

More importantly: Stinger GT AWD MSRP 46.134,45 € excl. VAT 54.900,00 € incl. VAT or in US$ 55,000 or 65,400. respectively.

MSRP for the other Stingers run from €37,000. to €40,000. all excl. VAT

Germany gets all colors, BUT only Sunset Yellow is standard, EVERY OTHER color appears to cost between €690 & €890 extra.

And then there are the Special Packages P1 through P3, which can be applied to the "lesser" Stingers which, with a few Rubles, can be made quite comfortable.

I didn't see these mentioned in the Korean version - however they may just have missed them in the rush (- or was it me?):
Active Hood Lift System, AHLS
Emergency Stop Signal, ESS
EcoDynamics (Start-Stop-System, ISG)
Energie-Regenerations System (Alternator Management System, AMS)
Fog Tail light - LED - this is a super bright tail light, deployed, you guessed it, in fog, so the guy without an AEB system does not run into you, hopefully.
(Maybe that's the one TomTom mentioned :) )
Intelligent Speed Limit Warning, ISLW - reads speed limit signs (only in Europe?).

Thanks TomTom26, for the find :)

What do you mean available in LED? Isn't it LED by default?

Don't shoot the messenger....This is what it says in the brochure:

Rückleuchten LED ● ● ● -
Rückleuchten LED mit LED-Blinkleuchten P1 P1 P1 ●

...which would indicate, that the GT has the tails and indicators as LEDs, whereas the other models can be upgraded via the P1 package.

I'm not particularly conservative but I wouldn't buy one for that kind of money either!

So 2017 (2018 basically) 40000$ plus car has incandescent lamps in tail lights by default? Jesus.

It's called differentiation. If you pay top dollar for the top model, you kind of appreciate the maker's thoughtfulness, putting the riff raff into their place....:)

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised to see the GT prices for Germany at this level. After the Austrian prices had been published I tried to convert them to German prices by simply exchanging the tax rates, especially removing the crazy Austrian consumption tax (NoVA). This exercise brought me close to 50k€ but when I saw the Stern article Stinger_Hamburg posted to start this thread where a price tag of at least 70k€ was mentioned my heart sank. I would never pay anything close to 70k€.

Now the list price for a fully equipped 3.3 T-GDI AWD is a bit above 55k€. With the usual discounts it should be possible to bring the final price down to 50k€ or even lower. And this means for me: negotiations can start. The Stinger is a dream and I hope it soon will come true.

hello from Germany!

I am a lil sad. the starting Price for the stinger was estimated for 40.000 EUR. now it is Close to 44.000 EUR. the reason why I am sad is the specs. I would appreciate the austian GT Line model with harman&kardon soundsystem and 19 Inch wheels. the german specs include alot of shit but no soundsystem and no 19 Inch wheels.

What also makes me worry is the delivery time. Yesterday I found some online ads from German dealers (mobile.de) where they say: Delivery period after receipt of order between 6 and 12 months. I hope it is not the latter.

Hi.

Ask your Dealer.
There are some Cars with different Options ready to sell and ship from Korea.
The System Tell him what Cars are available at the Moment.
Shipping is 1 month.
I am the first private buyer in Switzerland and get my Stinger in week 51.
So I think the ship starts middle of November - its enough time to order another ready to sell car and get it before 2018...

Hi.

In Switzerland: GT with every Option (it's just the Sunroof) in MicroBlue, 59800,- CHF + 500.- CHF OEM-Wintertires (normal price around 4500,- CHF; same size as the OEM - Summertires ).
Zu deutsch: GT mit allem und Senf :p
This is the only Stinger (except Coulour outside and inside) you can get in Switzerland.

OEM is original Manufacture,not aftermarket.
The wheels are 19 inch and the same size as summertires but with Michelin pilot alpine 4.
Prices like the wheelset of a Sorento and a bit more.
I change my Sportage 4 with 25000km and a set of 19 inch wintertires,20 inch summertires and stepbars.
The wheels are like new and so I get the good price from my dealer.
Price for wheels and stepbars are around 2500 CHF.
I save a lot when I just have to pay 500 CHF for the new Wintertires.
I am like a vampire...

German online dealers offer the Stinger with approx. 15% discount vs list prices. Lowest prices I have found so far are 42190 Euro for the 2.0 T-GDI, 47990 for the 3.3 T-GDI AWD. Both including all available options. Good to know for a price discussion with the local dealers.

Finally things are moving. Test drive is booked for next Saturday. I hope my own experience will be similar to what I heard from the reviews.

Also got a first quote. 48,188 EUR for a fully loaded GT. Not bad if compared to the German list price of 56,390 EUR. Let's see how my local dealer responds.
