Hi Guys,

I have been following the Stinger for almost a year now and recently test drove the GT2. I love the power, driving dynamics, and styling of it. Since I have a baby now, I want to get something more family oriented but still fun to drive. My 2011 Genesis coupe is getting less practical. I have made my choice on the Stinger after cross shopping with the Audi A5 Sportback.

I have one last dilemma: I am torn between the color white and ceramic silver. I have always loved white, my genesis coupe is white. But the Ceramic Silver is so unique and you don't see a color like this on a non exotic car. The problem is none of the dealers near me has a white or ceramic silver GT in stock for me to see in person. Even after looking at some picture on this forum, I still cannot decide.

I guess I will have to wait to see them in person. I am done with my rant. lol

PS: I am new here.

Hi yimnvs,
I guess i will be the first to Welcome you to Stinger forum, it must be early in the morning in the US, so everyone should be sleeping right now, except you..haha, Ceramic Silver is such a beautiful and elegant colour, and i would say not as common.
I am sure you will learn alot from other members in the know, and who already own Stingers.

Enjoy, from Melbourne , Australia.

Welcome! Go with your heart or the better deal if you can wait for the Ceramic to get to your area. Personally I love the Ceramic and have never been a fan of white cars but I must say the Stinger does look very good in white. I have not seen the Ceramic in person so only based on photos. I'm sure the right one will sting you in a good way

Welcome! I've seen both and they have always been my top two choices. I own a snow white pearl, and it's a bright, pearly white, not that creamy pearl you see on some cars. It definitely is not done justice in photographs. It glows. The dealer also had two ceramic silvers, and if they hadn't been AWD with merlot interiors, I would have possibly gone with that--it is a really impressive, sophisticated look. FYI, from what I've heard from local dealers, in the shipment that was just delivered to SoCal, at least, the ceramic silver all seem to be AWD. I could be wrong on that, since I quit looking when I bought mine. For me, choosing between these two paint colors finally came down to my wanting RWD and a black interior.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Welcome aboard, @yimnvs! Thank you for signing up! Well, you do have good taste in cars. The Genesis Coupe was a very impressive car in the Hyundai lineup and I'm anxious to see what the follow-up will be for Genesis Motors - though that car is likely several years off (after CUVs)...

In the meantime, I'm glad you've chosen the Stinger over the A5 Sportback! And I understand your dilemma with colors. Like @eljay said, the white is really impressive in person but so is the ceramic silver. I'd be happy with either color because both are light enough to be seen at night. My only gripe about dark cars is - especially when they have beautiful lines like the Stinger has - you can't see their beauty at night. And night time is when I'm driving my car more often than not.

What color was the Stinger you test drove?

Thanks all for the replies.

I test drove the Red RWD. My ideal Stinger gt would be white/ceramic silver with red interior and RDW. I want a base GT since I don't really need all the gadgets, but only the GT1 and GT2 has Ceramic Silver. I think if I made a decision on color, I would get either a white GT or a Ceramic GT1.

Does anyone here have a base GT?

Welcome and good luck making up your mind!
