Gas for Stinger GT2

The highest you can readily find. 91, 93, 100 if you're lucky. But this car should never see below 91 octane, IMO.

I live in Phoenix, so I run premium (91+). I predominantly use QT gas, but have used Costco and Frys (Kroger). In my opinion if you gas at a high volume place any premium would be fine as at least in Arizona its blended between Summer and Winter (Thank you California). Well that's my two cents.

So why octane rating, think it was put in place to measure how much the fuel/air could be compressed before igniting, using octane as standard. Mixing ethanol, that will take a lot of pressure before igniting, will increase the rating, but the downside is there are less energy units per gallon for ethanol than gasoline. Not sure what pressure the Stinger motor is optimal, however, increasing octane beyond that point is useless.

High Volume ≠ High Quality

Too many debating here about the right octane... Any mechanical engineer with knowledge in petrochemical engineering that can give us some light into this very dark and profound philosophical matter of what octane is the right one to use?

We have a whole team of them who provided the guidance in our owners manual. They tell us 91 is recommended for maximum performance and the use of regular unleaded May result in less power.

Beyond that is speculative opinion and personal preference.

Don't feed the big dog Meow Mix. High octane gas for a high octane car: 93.

Correction, Wawa ethanol free is 89 octane, there was a noticeable improvement in mileage when I started using it. If the octane thing bothers you put in half 93 octane and half ethanol free 89 and you will reduce amount of low energy unit ethanol by half. (89+93)/2=91
