Please add your location to your user profile.

The owners manual in the US specifies octane requirement, and octane is measured differently in certain countries, so knowing where you are located is critical.

Any octane is fine, the engine knows what to do. It's more important to buy good gas (top tier).

Yeah, and when you put in lower octane than what the car needs, the engine does things that defeat the purpose of driving a Stinger GT2. Shazam.

Dear OP, this topic seems nearly as old as the Bible and also nearly as controversial. As your owner's manual states, use only top-tier, unleaded fuel. If you desire maximum power, feel free to invest in high octane fuel.

Aha. How long will this thread go on because of the OP? :P:D

My take: I paid for potential performance. I want it available all the time, everywhere I go. It would bother me a lot to know that my HP is lower, my acceleration is less, and my engine has to adjust to lower octane to prevent pinging. The engine should operate at peak efficiency. And If I am going to save money and reduce all of that, I wasted my money buying this 3.3L version. There are numerous other areas I can cut costs in, not just the price of gasoline. But I won't do any of that either, because I want this car to remain all that it was when I bought it.
