G70 to be lighter and Quicker than Stinger

It's on my "nice to have" list. I agree. Lets pay more money and loose some features. o_O

Not bad at all for FWD. I am hoping to see the stock GT get close to your "old" street tire time with a higher trap speed. Fingers crossed.

yeah i expect it to be around 13.4 as well. maybe a 13.2 but that'll be pushing it

very minimal mods but im a damn good driver lol

Did someone find when will be the official G70 unveiling event? In the New York Auto Show didn't happened

It is puzzling why Genesis 80 and 90 don't have fold-down rear seats, a feature which vastly improves the utility of the cars. One reason I've heard has been that fixed seats improve the stiffness of the chassis, but BMW has folding seats and is probably no less stiff. I've considered a Genesis 80, but the lack of this feature stopped me.

Regarding fold down seats I've also heard that having them means less seal between the trunk and cabin which allows more exterior noise into the interior. That might be the reason. Does the S-Class and Lexus LS have folding rear seats?

The rear seats do not fold in the S-class or the LS. But they have heated/cooled rear seat options along with massaging, reclining, etc. features. Most cars with all those amenities in the rear are usually meant to carry rear passengers. So the "folding" feature would not get used frequently, if at all. The E-class, A6 and 5-series do have folding rear seats. If I recall, most comparison reviews show that the G80 is closer to the bottom when decibel levels are measured. So not sure Genesis got the benefits they might have been looking for by going that route and giving up a good bit of practicality while they were at it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Great point, Bamm1, people who buy S-class or Lexus LS don't quite look into utility that comes with folding seats. In any case, the trunks in these cars are large and the cars often are driven by others while the owners ride in the back, hence the amenities such as massage and reclining seats. Folding seats and the resultant utility are big plusses for the Stinger. These factors and the expected reliability, (presumably) a lower price, and lower maintenance costs of the Stinger lead me, a longtime BMW owner, away from the similar BMW 430i Gran Coupe.

Right. I can see why the G90 doesn't have folding rear seats but I think the Genesis G80 should have had them. I doubt it was an oversight but probably something the executives decided against for one reason or another.
