Functions disabled when CarPlay is in use

Is anyone seeing this issue? When I connect to CarPlay, just recently the Infotainment interface cuts off the radio (SiriusXM). I can’t control the volume which is stuck on Voice. If I pull the plug on my phone, normal control returns. Selecting any media button results in the system message that ‘the function is not available right now’ or words to that effect while using CarPlay. I’m guessing that Apple did something but I thought I’d see if this is a known issue. Apologies if I didn’t find this already covered somewhere in the forum.

So no one else had this.

I installed an iOS update and I think that fixed it. I’m guessing details are unnecessary.

I had the same problem. I am updating my Nav/Infotainment software on my car now to see if that helps.

And yes, it started after the iOS 15 upgrade on my phone.

I am still on ios 14.8, I think I will hold off on 15.

I would try another iOS device see if the volume works with that. If it does then I would say it’s a issue with the phone new software

Seems like it was fixed with iOS 15.0.2 which just came out!
