I try not to follow vehicles too closely (and often call my wife a "gator" ... For tailgator :)).... So I try to practice what I preach). But my brand new GT, 600 miles, already has a few very small chips in the front bumper. Does the shape and ride height of the Stinger just make it more prone to chips? Is it just the roads here in Pennsylvania? How are everyone else's doing?

I'm a bit bummed. I suppose I'll eventually have to get a Dr. Color Chip kit which I've used in the past on my WRX with decent, but not great results. At this rate there won't be any paint left eventually.... (Yeah I'm being dramatic).

I've did alot of research on this. Unfortunately for me I was down south during an ice storm and the massive amounts of sand literally destroyed my paint, chrome, front camera glass, and my windshield needs replaced as it looks like it got sandblasted. I would just get the entire front XPEL paint protection and be done with it. Def wished I had. Pic is just the windshield but you can imagine what it did to the front end.

Definitely get the front PPF covered. Don't wait. I did mine entirely to the windshield at three months in: could see the writing on the wall, so to speak. Paint isn't what it was years ago. The "greenies" have enforced formulas that are eco-friendly and they don't hold up: necessitating extra protection.

Well got a quote for $625 for the front bumper from an XPEL certified shop. Thinking it's going to be worth it. This is only a few bucks more than the bumper kit direct from XPEL so seems fair?

Bummed I have to drop more money but buy once, cry once I suppose.

That looks like a normal price. You could get it for less, possibly, if you do more. I mean that for a bigger job the installers might cut you a price break. The shop that did my full front back to the windshield said that the normal price was shy of fifteen-hundred: they did it for $950.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks for the feedback. The shop quoted me another $375 for the rest of the hood & fenders so again pretty in line. I'm just not sure if that additional is necessary. What made you go for the additional coverage?

I didn't want a line across my hood. And the fenders were recommended. They're done right back to the side vents (but not the forward end of the rocker panels beneath: which hasn't been a problem at all, since only the forward end of the rocker panel could possibly get hit, and I have rock guards on them). A week after getting the entire hood wrapped, even around the rear edge, I was so glad, because some ultra maroon in Oregon, pumping my gas (they don't let you do it in OR), yanked up on my driver's side wiper to clean my windshield and tore into the PPF: it saved the paint, but the gouged PPF has collected dirt over the years: I can see it, because I know it's there (c. an inch long), but am satisfied that it's just plastic film and not paint damage.
