So I have taken my new front badge to the panel shop to be installed ( i didn't want to make a mess of it ) and they have told me that the badge isn't going to sit flush because the front bar is curved. It sort of rocks side to side.

Did everyone just pack it out with a little extra double sided tape? The factory badge is sort of scooped out in the middle to allow for the curve but the aftermarket one isn't.

Badge i purchased is below

Your removing the OEM badge first correct because the badge you bought isn’t an overlay. I have the same one in black chrome and mine sits flush...no problems after nearly 2 yrs.

Yea mate, Old badge is completely off. Maybe the bar on the my21 is a little differently shaped?

Ah yeah man maybe...sorry wish I could help you out. Here's the placement of mine and it sits perfectly flush.

All good dude, Thanks for the info and the pic. Might just leave the kia one on there haha.

It's not a little gap either its probably a 3mm gap each side of the badge so packing it out with tape would look dodgy as.
