From orange to yellow

I like both. It's a tossup. :D

wow, its amazing how much uglier wrapping the rear diffuser on the rear makes the car. IMO put that back to black and it would look much better.

Despite telling multiple people at the shop that I wanted it wrapped the same way as before--just exchanging yellow for orange--(as well as leaving photos of the orange version on the front passenger seat for reference), the installers originally got 3 areas wrong. I had them fix 2 areas, but I didn't bother with the diffuser area because I didn't think it made much difference either way.

Beyond those mistakes (which they fixed at no charge), I wasn't very impressed with the work as compared to the company that did the orange wrap. Many nicks here and there, very poor corners, etc. It's not that noticeable unless you're looking for it, and I'm not that upset about it, but I wouldn't give this installer a recommendation to anyone.

i like the black stingers. why not go back to that. especially with the red interior. freakin sweet.

Not for me but it's not my car.

You could have said that another way, but yes.

Well yes probably, but I have a feeling that it wouldn't matter what color the wrap would be, it would be ugly regardless. This is just the first example I have seen of someone trying it. Nothing against the rest of the car.

EDIT - To Clarify, I am referring to JUST the rear diffuser being ugly in color, not whole car.

I like it! The color mix reminds me of the Daytona Chargers and super bees. My first love was a 2008 Charger RT with the road track package. My first stinger was a federation orange gts and I loved it. After someone ran a red light turn in an intersection totalling my car in June, I ended up getting a gt2 2023 microblue stinger. Just couldn't go back to Dodge after the Stinger experience. Do you have any links to pictures of the orange wrap on here.

There's a link in the first post that says "media added by.." and his username. click it.

The diffuser was NOT supposed to be wrapped yellow (except the area underneath with the 2 fins). You can see in the photos of the car when it was orange that the entire diffuser wasn't wrapped. As mentioned in a previous post, the installers paid no attention to the photos left on the seat in the car, and the salesmen apparently didn't pass on my verbal instructions--which were simple--just change the orange areas to yellow, leave the black areas black. They fixed two of the three areas a couple of days ago--the ones that involved installing NEW wrap. I can remove the wrap on the diffuser myself.

When I pointed out all of the poor corners (left little black areas visible in at least 6 places, poor edges along the headlights), the salesman took photos of the problem areas. I didn't rant, or ask for any re-dress. But he said he would try and get the owner of the business to re-do it. I said that wasn't necessary, but the following day he called me and said the owner wanted to re-do it, free of cost to me. So, I figured I might as well take them up on it if they feel that embarrassed by it (I obviously noticed the problem areas, but unless you were looking for them, you wouldn't see them, and I'm not fanatical about cars, so it didn't make that much difference to me).

It will probably be about a month before it can be re-done. I'll post the new photos of the rear at that time. I agree that it doesn't look as good as it did with the black diffuser, on the other hand, I don't think I would call it 'ugly' either. I've actually had quite a few total strangers tell me how much they like it as is.

Good on the owner for wanting to make things right voluntarily. That doesn't happen much these days, even if you have to wait a month.

Maybe Ugly was too strong of a word. Maybe Strange is a better word? Its just such a drastic change from the gloss black or carbon fiber we are all so used to. I just took another look at the orange photos, specifically to look at the rear diffuser and it definitely does look much better with only the sides done and the rear still in black, so when you get that changed back to that layout but in yellow it will more than likely look way cleaner.

What made you go yellow out of curiosity? did you see one of the Yellow stingers and fall in love with the color? Am legitimately curious as I have not seen a yellow one in person, though I had the opportunity to buy a Yellow 2018 GT2 in AWD when I was shopping for my stinger, and it only had 4k miles on it while being in my price range. The only reason I didn't do it was because I saw that it was a manufacture buy-back car and at the time I did not know about what happened with the yellow cars paint, I figured it was a lemon or something. I learned about the paint fiasco right after it sold and kicked myself that I missed the opportunity. My Stinger I have now ended up being the 12th one I looked into because they where selling so fast right out from under me. Red is the last color I would have chosen if I really had an option but Im glad I did end up getting a red one, because up until last week or so, I was fairly sure I had the only red stinger in my state, because I have seen several of every other (Non special edition anyway) colors, until I saw a red 22/23 GT2 driving the other way. It also seemed to be a much brighter red then mine as well, closer to firetruck red. Not sure why as mine is more of a dark cherry, Yet when I looked on the website, its still sold as "High-chroma Red". Strange.

Not a fan tbh.
Imo would exchange the hood/trunk carbon fiber and taking out that rim yellow thing.

And diffuser black (if not fixed by now)

I liked it better in orange. If we're taking votes.

I've seen very few yellow cars that looked good in that color (Corvettes for some reason being an exception that comes to mind). I'm biased as I don't like 'bright' colors like fluorescent green and yellow. Even orange can be cringey, but think the Stinger looked good in those prior photos.

The cops are certainly not going to have any issues picking you out of a crowd of cars. :D

id drive an orange stinger. those look awesome. is there a such thing as an orange scorpion stinger?

I had a minor accident last fall, and was going to have to replace most of the driver's side vinyl. Since a new roll of orange probably wouldn't have exactly matched the roll from 2 years ago, I probably would have had to re-do the whole car. So, I had been contemplating yellow for a while, and decided that if I was going to do it, now would be the time. (BTW, the last time I had an accident and had to replace a few panels, the insurance company agreed to pay the cost of a complete re-wrap. I probably could have asked, but I figured the probably wouldn't be too pleased with having to do it again.

I also prefer orange, but sometimes you just need a change. I've had many more strangers compliment the yellow than I had compliments on the orange since I started working in a larger city--where all the people were seeing both the orange and yellow versions for the first time.

No. Scorpion only came is White, Black and Ceramic Silver (Panthera Metal?).

I like the orange hood much better.

I would go with no color on the wheels.

AWESOME license plate!

Better!
