I have had 4 new Optima's since 2010. My last on was a 2016 SXL . Loved everything about it , had every option available. Got a call from my dealership saying they had the new Stingers and they have the one I would want. I went down test drive it with the wife and we just had to have it
Pearl white , red leather interior, Twin turbo V6. We drove it home.
Been a loyal Kia customer for 8 years, 4 Optimas, 2 Souls, my wife now has a 2017 Sportage. We love our KIA's .

Congratulations you're gonna love it . This is our fourth Kia since 2012 snuck a 2015 Genesis in between and now We have the stinger , and just loving it . Enjoy your Sunday Drive .

My previous car was also an Optima 2016. I changed car after 1 year and a half when the Stinger came out. It was a bit crazy because it was an impulsive decision but I am very happy about it... This car is just too good. :)

Last year I was very close to trading in my 2013 Optima SX for a 2016 Optima SXL. Then I saw they were coming out with LED headlights (I hated the crappy output on the HID I had) so I decided to wait for the 2017. Then when the 2017s came out I saw this thing called a Stinger that debuted. Well, my plans to get an Optima went out the door. Now I own a Stinger as well. Welcome to the club ;)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Welcome aboard! Thank you for signing up. And congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! I hope you'll give us a comparison between the Stinger and your Optima SXL - which is a very impressive automobile itself...

Traded in my 2012 Optima Sx for a Sunset Yellow GT2 AWD on Saturday.
Loving the car, but it sure does gulp the gas.

Yes it does but if we were all were worried about gas mileage , would be stuck with a Prius , and I'll gladly pay the extra . You got to pay to play , and for what you get in the stinger for the price is a bargain . Portland Oregon to Sacramento California 24 MPG not bad get it out on the highway get some pretty decent mileage for what it is . After a couple of months of just driving it in sport Because that's the only one you want to drive in , you'll see the difference in the other modes but you keep drifting back to sport for some strange reason . Drive safely .

Highway mileage is good.
City mileage is super bad.

Congratualtions!!....and Welcome!!

What model trim did you get? SWP and Red interior is a very rare/non-existent combo in the US.

If you told me 5 years ago I'd own a Kia, I would have said you were crazy. Now we've owned 3 (and still own 2) - first my Optima, then my wife's Sorento, then traded the Optima up to a Stinger. There's a reason people keep coming back to this brand, even for people like me who are not brand loyal...

I repeat, city mileage is super bad.

I bought the 2.0 primarily for city driving, I get like 4km/L driving in Seoul traffic. I would have seriously considered the 3.3 model if I knew this to be honest.

Don,

Glad to have you on board and glad to see a long time Kia owner! There arent many of you out there that have supported Kia for so long!

The Stinger is a huge upgrade over the Optima (especially in the engine department if you went with the GT), enjoy!
