I've got an open box ADVGENFLCHLN on order from Crutchfield too. Couldn't argue with that discount. I'll report back on how it goes and take some pictures.
Note: Like others have mentioned, with the stock stinger mirror, you can turn the compass off and the rear view mirror blends into an all mirrored surface.
With the Gentex frameless mirrors, if you get the compass version, you will always have a compass cut out circle in your mirror.
See below: (Gentex with compass, Gentex without compass, Kia)
Today I installed the open box ADVGENFLCHLN I got from Crutchfield. It looked like it was brand new.
The repining directions from the previous post work great, just keep in mind you need to pry out the white plastic lock before using a needle to release individual pins. I recommend cutting back the black tape that is wrapping the wires to give you more space to work with.
Finally, a mirror big enough to see all of our huge back window :rofl:

Auto dimming works well, but as expected the garage door remote only works when the car is on. The bluetooth feature seems like mostly a gimmick to aid in programming, using bluetooth to trigger home automation has a subscription fee and I didn't bother testing it. I uninstalled the app from my phone once I got everything set up. A card included with the mirror seems to suggest garage door programming can be done without the app too, but I didn't try it.
I forgot to mention, because the Gentex doesn't have the plug built into the mirror mount like the official Kia mirror does, you get a lot more space for mounting a blend mount, or in my case, dual blend mounts (dashcam and radar detector). I still need to zip tie the cables in place and make it neater.
I was able to remove the short link from my V1G2 blend mount, and swap my dashcam blendmount from using a long link to a short link, ultimately tucking everything up a little bit higher behind the mirror.
I think this blend mount attachment improvement is a bigger improvement than the mirror itself.
Old thread but found this on Amazon for a decent price. Just have to repin. I just matched the wire color placement from the oem mirror. There was an extra wire that mine didn't have so just put it in an empty spot. The ad shows the mirror should display the up/down arrows based on door action. I do not see those on this mirror when opening or closing the garage door. Maybe it's only available on newer door openers that send that signal?
I'm a new member so the forum security rules wouldn't let me share the link so here's the description and ASIN.
