Found a 2019 GT1 "Brand New" - Financing, I have questions..

I was looking into leasing a 2021 Stinger GT, couldn't afford the GT1 monthly payments. In my search I stumbled upon a KIA dealership near me that has 3 different Stingers that are all new and 2019 model year. In fact, they don't have any Stingers newer than 2019. Why would a 2019 still be on the lot? Is there any reasonable explanation for this, or should I be concerned here?

Full Sticker MSRP: 48,610

Their initial offer, they could sell it to me for 37,800 with 1,500 down to finance it. Does that sound reasonable, or how much more should I try to talk them down?

Common. Nothing to worry about at all. These cars have not been the best sellers. There are still a handful of dealerships that have a few new 2018's.

Their offer seems ok but if that is their initial offer, they definitely can go lower. They NEED to get rid of these cars.

Tell them "Thanks for their time but you have to decline." Or make a counter offer at say $34,000. They still can go down. Be stubborn. Act like you are not convinced. Keep counter offering. If they want to sell these cars, they will go lower.

If they are indeed new and never titled, you do get the full warranties that start from the date of purchase. Given that they have been on the lot for a long time, I would anticipate needing a new battery due to a lack of long drives to recharge it.

You should check Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds and see what they say it's worth for Private Party resale in "Very Good" condition (as all dealers will tell you, no vehicle on God's green earth can be considered in "Excellent" condition). I would take the average of these 2 numbers as your offer.

The test drive will reveal any extraneous noises or brake pad issues, if there are any. Otherwise, no worries. Happy hunting!

Thank you gentlemen for the advice, it's very helpful. I just don't wanna leave anything on the table here or have regrets. This is my first new car purchase. I may take a look at the lower trim GT they have on the lot as well. Same year and color, but it has the 19" wheels with summer tires instead. Obviously doesn't have all the other nice features of the GT1 though I think the only ones I really care about are the nicer looking touch screen and better speakers.
