I’ve had the GT mats since I bought the car in June 2018, no problems with them. Not sure why you’re having the problems with your mats. From the picture they appear to have the same rubber knobs on the bottom for grip.

My OEM carpet floor mats are doing great: lying flat in a plastic bag in the shed. For last winter, I put in the all weather Kia mats and never took them out. Best floor mats I've ever had in any vehicle.

My mat was doing this on launch control. So I made a clip for it.. it's sort of like a long money clip that hold it up now.

Perhaps the GT mat is thicker and heavier so therefore sits better. No issue at all with mine.
