I may have found an easy fix for the stereo fader issue. Several days ago i turned on Clari-fi in advanced settings (need to scroll down) but i also pushed the center button between the directional arrows on the right of the screen. In the past i always pushed the middle of the car image to recenter. Several days later , still centered. So one of these two did the trick. Suspect it was hitting the center of the arrow but not sure.

EDIT: Just after posting this my fader did move again. Fix is no good. :(

So i used to have this issue. Happened every few days when i first got the car. Something changed as after a few months it stopped happening and I don't have the issue any more. Not sure If i did anything inadvertently or it went away on its own. I do however have the Clari-Fi turned on after just checking.

Mine would do it whenever I had a bluetooth call.. didn't matter Clari-fi or not. Head replacement fixed it.

Correct. They issue presents it self after the use of a bluetooh call.

Headunit replacement fixed it.

I like to avoid dealers, especially tearing in to the dash. I seldom get phone calls and mine used to switch back daily. I do use Bluetooth music but even after using that the fade is still centered so far.

They replaced mine in a couple hours with no ill effects. The dealers should have the procedure down now as they probably have done quite a few by now. Also, the dealer I go to is top notch and seem to have their sh!% together.

Crap, just went for another drive and the fader did move. Fix is no good. But it did last several days. I guess i'll go to the dealer some day.

If you don't mind me asking, what dealer are you going to?

Thanks, good to know. I bought mine in Florence and I don't necessarily have complaints, but Fairfield is a heck of a lot closer!!

I've bought my last 7 cars from Fairfield. Their sales people aren't very knowlegable but have always gotten a good deal there. They have serviced all my Kias and always done when promised and have always done everything under warranty if it was eligible.

I was nervous about getting my dash torn apart too but my dealer did such a good job I could not even tell it was done. Not a mark or any rattles.

Mine resets itself with this issue every couple trips. Never once used bluetooth calling, 100% Sirius radio only and AA for Waze. Every now and then I'll check it, fix it, and sometimes it doesn't move. Annoying but not enough to take it to the dealer.
