"Drift 7:93 [Static torque split (F:R)] Nearly full rear-drive with minimal stability control allows controlled slides, will not upshift even at the rev limiter"
"In most modes, it'll automatically knock up to the next gear when you reach the redline, but Drift mode will just bounce off the rev limiter, holding the high engine speeds needed to keep the rear wheels lit up."
That's pretty cool, keep the current gear that YOU want yet not go past the red line. The "nanny" take-control shifter is gone.
I thought that Sport currently sends 80% to the rear wheels.
So, short of "drifting", the RWD function will be 100% on Sport Plus?
A dead zero start dead ahead will still be carrying c. 200 lbs of added weight. Unless the front wheels are contributing their fair share, I don't see how turning an AWD into a RWD that weighs 200 lbs more is going to compete with a lighter, true RWD.
If they keep this kind of thing up, I could see selling my MY18 for a 2021, or even a 2020.
