First time out logging with the Jb4 on Canadian shell 91. I hope you can review the logs and advise how the fuel quality looks, I’d like to add some octane and then try map three. The car pulls much better map 1 really nice map 2. Just a nice kick. My previous stock run was 5.1 usually jb4 says 4.6. Regardless of accuracy it’s much quicker up top for sure

You can see the limitations of 91 octane in the timing traces but overall looks as expected to me!

Thanks my friend!! are you shipping intakes currently or are you locked down?

Fortunately automotive parts are "essential" so we're up and shipping just with a smaller crew at the warehouse, and the rest of us are working from home.

Funny you say that I had my JB4 Sent to you since 3-12-20 to get it tested since it was giving me engine light and every week they give me a new story of why they still have not teste it. Second week I was asked hey I got your JB4 what you want me todo with it? That’s after having it for a week. If you guys are still open thy should not be such a delay or lack of communication. I wonder if lap 3 would have treated me deferently.

None of the warehouse guys at the office packing orders are qualified to diagnose or repair hardware, so any hardware repairs are on hold until the CA lockdown ends and someone qualified gets in to the office to evaluate them. It's not an ideal situation but we're making the best of it. What is your email? If I recall correctly someone had looked at your JB4 and it seemed fine. So we thought it made sense to test it on a vehicle to be 100% sure. And that just hasn't been able to happen yet. We could just tell the guys at the warehouse to ship it back.

I understand that we are all facing a non ideal situation. However, the product was sent back to you prior to the lockdown and even a week after receiving it I am being asked what should be done with the JB4 when we have been in communication prior to me sending the product. I find that to truly give customer service a replacement sent because there isn’t anyone qualified to review it and we do not know realistically the duration of our crisis. So, I’m left without the product and no certainty of repair after I was told that this week that you would “see what we can figure out for you.”

And your email address is so I can look up the support history?

Is it elvotero@aol.com? An older JB4 system you purchased from us August, 2018?

Elvotero@aol.com I was the guy that paid for a new pedal since you told me the connection was the problem. That was 175 out the door then you told me to ship the jb4.

Yes the P2127 fault code guy. As we told you via email that fault can't be caused by the JB4 that we know of since it doesn't intercept or touch the gas pedal or throttle blade connections. And we've never had any reports of it before. We offered to inspect/test your JB4 just the same as a courtesy. Clearly no good deed goes unpunished.

Working with the guys to get your system shipped back today without in vehicle testing since it's become such a time sensitive concern for you. We'll also swap the JB4 control board out for a new one "just to cover the bases".

It was not only one code it’s two codes and it has to do with the JB4 because after I removed the JB4 the check engine no longer turns on. Don’t return a product that has not been verified or fixed. This isn’t a courtesy when the product has a 5 year warranty. I have paid for the fees to return the product to you for review and I bought a new pedal because I was told by you guys that that was the issue. I put a pedal and the issues remained until the JB4 was removed. Just because I am the first one to report an issue, why wait for multiple customers to report the issue before checking it; gives me the impression that prior to the crisis you may have not even considered looking into the problem. Let’s me more proactive and solution focused than trying to prove whether or not the customer is at fault.

As far as I can tell no one here told you to go buy a new gas pedal. I pointed out the fault description may be gas pedal related, and noted you have a 2019 support thread for help with a pedal tuner, so trying to put 2+2 together there. At the end of the day while we provide JB4 support we're not a mechanic replacement. The JB4 system itself is fine and as I said above will be sent back to you today with a new control board to be 100% sure.

The codes indicate a gas pedal fault that is why I asked. Sure it's not loose?

I’m positive I even bought a new pedal from the dealership thinking it was that. It has bean a nightmare I just did not post anything nowhere. The crazy part it all went away with the last update and then today again. Also note it happens random check engine light turns on with front warning collision not working that’s when the pedal stops working and I I turn off the car and back sometimes it’s there some times it’s not. I even took it to a shop nobody knows.

Maybe a wire is loose on the harness going to the pedal?

We checked all the wiring and all looks normal plus it should not turn on the collision, air bag and even low oil code. It has to do with the JB4 for sure.

JB4 shouldn't turn on those things too, don't see how it would be JB4 related but easy to put the JB4 on map0 and evaluate, remove JB4 all together.

I’m running map 0 do to the problem. Took the car to two mechanics well known and they don’t know. I would hate to take it to the dealership and blame it on the JB4. What could I do to erase everything? Any test we could do?

Just pop off JB4 and send it in if you want us to test it out here on our car.

Regardless, this conversation did not have to go this route but I appreciate that you have come to your senses to provide quality service.

Happy it worked out for you but I’m staying clear of BMS I first contacted them about their intercooler, it was going for $499 good sale..I call with Credit card in hand and ask 1 question what do the specs look like? The rep told me it’s to new and no one has any idea... I asked how can that be? There’s no specs on this at all? The rep told me it’s a great price just buy it if I don’t like it I can sell it for more to someone else their name Should mean enough... The customer service is lacking I was actually going to pick up Jb4 then I realize who sells it... Just my two cents
