Finished Rebadge Project

I’m on the fence about the car at this point but I’d be doing this or something like it. Love the styalized K and for the life of me why Kia isn’t using it is beyond me.
Lawsuits, lexus would probably argue it is too similar to their logo

Really impressed with the postage time of the black chrome 'K' badges to Australia. They were only sent last week. I've been having second thoughts about removing the original badges but after seeing Ivansito's car, I think I made the right choice. My car is still sitting at the dealership waiting for the bi-modal exhaust to arrive and get fitted. Hopefully it'll be delivered next week.

Reaching for the dental floss might be one of the first things I do when I get the car. What's the consensus - heat gun yay or nay?

With all this paint issues, don't use it. I have removed all the emblems with just dental floss. No need for heat.

But the letter K is similar to the letter L but with one more line. Which the Kia logo has along with proper angling. Sigh.

The "K" on these badges are OEM. They're not copies. Kia DOES use it...

Otherwise, yes, these Vintage K badges are really nice and high quality. Unfortunately, they're going to be difficult to get very soon. The vendor has apparently run out and I don't know when they'll have another set ready...

Where have you seen any other logo on kia from the factory?

Google KIA Vintage K. If your a Stinger owner and frequent these forum, most likely you have already seen the E emblem on many cars. Those E are the stock emblem used in Korea for Thier Stingers. As for the Vintage K, you'll have to travel back in time to 2007 in Korea actually see a Vintage K adorn on all KIA cars. 2007 was the last year of the Vintage K useage. Hence why today it's called the Vintage K.

There will be no lawsuits, don't worry.

I wanna slap whomever was responsible for the newer "text in oval" design that replaced the vintage K, face palm*

@Ivansito or @NYdito Could you confirm that the badge you got was completely flat on the back?
If so, how did you deal with the nearly 1/8" gap that you'd have on the bottom and the top of the badge when you place it on the curved front bumper cover?

I have the one that is flat and don’t really have any space problems.

I did have issue with the initial Custom Stinger Emblem shown above. Which eventually lead to it coming off on the top. Leaves , twigs, and all sorts of stuff was gathering behind the badge.

The Vintage K emblem ,to begin with, is a smaller emblem which negates the trouble with the flat edge which it does have. I did focus on applying more pressure on the top of the badge because of my experience with the first badge. But after applying pressure on the bottom, I observe there was no lift on the top. At the end I apply equal pressure all around the edge to encourage a little curvature. Not sure if it was needed but it is totally press flat against the body from all sides.
Will post closer pics when I get a chance.

There you go let me know if it helps.
