So, you've seen me in various tuning / mod threads already. Just finalized the paperwork today - one week before my birthday. '05 Legacy GT wagon ("Momo") just broke on Friday (horrible crunching noises from center or rear diff, shuddering, etc). Time for a partout..

Located in the Bay Area (CA). Time to read up on break-in procedures, etc.. Did the 2-year lease, planning on buyout.

'19 GT1 AWD, had 20 miles on it, plastic still all over the place. Still trying to think of a nickname..

Congratulations! Beautiful color!

Welcome! Congrats on the new car. I am coming to Stingerville from Subaru ownership as well (MY09 Liberty/Legacy GT Spec.B - 2.5L version of yours, basically). Centre diff/gearbox failure not good - but you've landed nicely on your feet! :)

G’day & welcome, nice colour choice, enjoy your new ride....

Thanks Manaz. Here in the US, LGTs were all 2.5L, unlike the 2.0s in Japan / Australia (IIRC). With a bnr16g turbo + injectors + pump, it was putting out around 300-320 hp (to the crank). Stock, the Stinger is a little faster, but not that much.. Of course, jb4 will be on order within a month or two :)

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.

Awesome, the best color out there fore the Singer, by the way why the obsession in giving nicknames to a f car? Its not like is your pet or something. :D I am sure you will deeply enjoy this car is a huge upgrade from any Subaru.

It's mostly because of the family (wife and 2 girls). They like it. Momo was obvious - it was printed on the steering wheel, and my wife nicknamed her Mazda3 Benny (complicated). Our first Grand Caravan was "Hemi" (due to all the ads on TV at the time), and the second one (really a Town and Country) is Finn (Star Wars). Just whatever strikes our fancy at the time, and isn't a big deal, just a way to say "I'm taking Momo" instead of "I'm taking the Subaru".

So far, I'm thinking of Gandalf (the Grey), or maybe Greystoke :-)

Ah, of course yes. I have the EJ255 with a VF52 turbo, intake mods, 3" turbo back exhaust, about 200kW (~270hp) at the wheels, somewhere just under 300kW/400hp at the crank - further improvements are mostly held back by the 5EAT transmission. The Stinger is going to be fun... :)

Gandalf sounds a bit old and wizened. Greystroke sounds like a medical episode. :)

Naming cars can be tough. My parents car as I learned to drive was Libby (number plates started LIB), my first car was named by my g/f at the time (she called it Rastis, I have no idea why). The 02 STI I have access to gets called Choyt (nameplates were CH04YT before we replaced them). My Liberty just gets called "Spec" or "Spec.B". Our Mitsubishi Challenger is currently unnamed. My Stinger will need a name - I am going for Micro Blue, unsure yet what name will stick.

Beautiful car, I am hoping to get a GT2 in that same color.

Congrats! Good taste in color and trim. :D Don't take my nickname, War Machine, already taken. ;)

Welcome to your new car! I just pulled off a piece of plastic yesterday. :P c. two inches long, quarter inch wide, wedged between the top of the top grill and the bumper, just to the left of the badge: I was getting bugs off the front, picked at the end of this little line of white with my fingernail, and voila! was able to pull it out. I've had my car for nearly fifteen months. Heh!? :D

I didn't name my car until our "relationship" was over three months along. It came to me, I didn't think of it. :D What name have you given your Stinger?
