65467F1F-1EF3-48FA-A888-0E76C0C153E6.webp I absolutely love my Stinger GT2. However, I really just didn’t like the standard badging. Personally I am not ashamed to own a Kia but I simply don’t like the way the current Kia badge looks.

It is fine for my son’s $15,000 Kia Rio but I just don’t think it is appropriate on a $50k+ car.

Therefore, I swapped out all of the Kia badges for the “E” badges. I also managed to get the Red “2” emblem from the “GTT2 twin turbo badge”.

At first my idea was to cut the second “T” off the “GTT” badge and put the “2” on the lower portion of the “T”. I cut the second T off and that worked but the edge of the T was a little rough so I just decided to use the factory GT emblem and place the “2” below it.

Some people may not like the way I set up the emblems but I like them. The only regret I have is that I originally had the larger Stinger logo on the back middle trunk area. Therefore, I took the smaller stinger logo off of the left of the trunk.

However, I really wasn’t that happy with the larger stinger text so I swapped that out for another “E” badge.

Now, I wish I had left the original Stinger text on the left because you can’t replace that logo or at least I haven’t been able to find a place to buy it yet. All I could get was a super tiny Stinger badge. It looks ok but I wish I had left the original on instead.

Overall I am really happy with the modest changes I made. I really think it is a mistake not labeling the GT2 cars with a “GT2” badge. That really should have been done from the factory.

Let me know what you think.

This may be a silly question.... buy why "E"? I see it all over this forum (even on my avatar when I signed up here). Neither "Stinger" or "Kia" begin with the letter "E"

BTW, love the re-badging of your car!

In its home market of Korea, KIA placed the "E" badge. Supposedly it stands for "Engineered for/from Excellence". Hence, E.

Thanks for the explanation!

Waiting on my dealer to give me a price for a 2019 (8K miles) lease return. Ceramic over red. If it is under $35K with full warrantee, I may not be able to resist.

@gheller that's a great color combo! hope it comes through for ya! I almost pulled the trigger on a beautiful Panthera Metal GT1 back in May, but the dealer screwed the deal up playing games. I'll walk in a second when I know that's what is happening. Have a buddy of mine running interference now with dealers. I hate the game, so he's playing it for me until time to buy. Just remember, they need to sell it more than you need to buy it. Back on the topic of this thread though, I love your clean badge work @Travis Wills
