Hello,

I know the manual says that tinting the windshield may effect the FCA system. Has anyone tinted the windshield and were any of the features impacted, such as lane assist not working as well, etc.

Thank you

I think when you tint the windshield it is done from the inside of glass, so it should cover the cameras to effect anything.

My windshield is tinted from factory, which i guess helps in the collission systems since i guess they wouldnt tint over the cameras and such.

I have a 5% tint (95% light allowed) w/ ceramic, so not that much darker (mostly for heat blocking) and have no issues with the FCW/FCA.

Like others have said, the cameras are fused up against the windshield, functionality shouldn't be affected.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Just got it done and the FCA and LKA both seem to be working fine.

70% 3M Ceramic film and it works fine.

So I had it done and where the sensors are seems to be kind of recessed into the cluster in the top center of the windshield so they went right around it and everything works perfectly.

For comparison, I have mine parked next to my friend's Stinger. It is night and we are in a well lit parking garage.

Before anyone says anything, I am a great parker, never even needed 360 cameras and usually back into spots. (just had to put that disclaimer in as I'm sure someone would call me out ;)

I wanted our cars to be under equal lighting for the picture. If anyone in the Seattle area wants to know where I had the tinting done, just PM me. Front-Tint1.webp
