I put mine in Smart every time I drive nowadays.

Smart is pretty cool as a compromise of all the best drive modes. You drive with a light foot and Smart stays in Eco. You get on it moderately and it turns "Aggressive" and enters Comfort. And you get really bossy with the go pedal and Smart moves to Sport while you're eating gas. The only thing lacking, as far as I can tell, is the way to constantly engage Sport suspension and steering when in Smart. But Custom allows those selections. So Custom isn't exactly redundant in that respect.I put mine in Smart every time I drive nowadays.
