Everyone knows about the exhaust tips to fix aftermarket drone, but there’s also a budget method.

You can use exhaust wrap to close the gap between the aftermarket exhaust and OEM fake tips. This won’t allow the exhaust sound to bounce back into the underside of the car which causes drone. This will take less than 30 mins and requires a wrench and scissors

If you’d rather spend $25 or keep the OEM tips then this is a viable solution.

Here’s a video on how it looks:

You are my hero. Bought the stuff, did a quick wrap and the difference is huge. 2/3 of the drone on my TubiStyle exhaust is gone. Still a noise peak around 1800-2000 rpm but outside this range the pipe is nice and quiet.

I've had the stuff for a few months now and am finally hoping to try wrapping the tips. After a few weeks of rain this weekend should be clear so I think I'll try after washing my car for the first time since probably October lmaoooo

Hello, did you have to drop the muffler to wrap the ends? Or did you do it without dropping anything?

Just wondering if this wrap method will help reduce exhaust rasp?
