Is there an AWD variant of the DCT? That might be one of the reason.
Just a proper LSD, PS4s and tweaks like the Civic type R to manage torque steer would be miles better already.
I do not see a front wheel drive mass market FWD based sedan platform being a big competition (even in AWD form) to a RWD based GT car. Unless for people caring about some numbers on a sheet of paper... those drive completely different. Hopefully for KIA this car will steal sales from Accord Touring, Altima V6, Camry XLE.
I think that even if the Stinger being in a different category it is also stealing sales from the Accord Touring, Altima, Camry etc. because people see it as a way to upgrade in performance category without a big change in budget that BMW / Audi and the like would ask.
