I'm presently driving an optima sxt with some mods including jb4 intake dp plugs...been on the optima forum since 2013. But the inevitable switch to the stinger 3.3tt AWD is imminent and got me here. Loved the stinger a year before the first one was sold. Plans are to keep it stock but who are we kidding. Jb4 Intake and plugs will get done right away lol. I'd like one with the variable exhaust which I'm assuming starts at 2020?
Anyway, looking forward to getting in one.....

Welcome! Not sure I can answer your question about the variable exhaust but I can verify it is a blast to drive.

I am pumped for you. I know your desire for the Stinger will make it happen. Cool mods to your Optima. Always fun to chat with another car enthusiast.

I purchased another amazing car -- faster and more expensive than the Stinger. But, I fell in love with the Stinger soon after purchasing the vehicle. Kept looking at Stingers -- online, reading about them, and watching youtube videos, About a year and a half later I just decided it was time. Not a great financial decision, but to a car enthusiast who thinks driving is an experience it was the best decision.

Yeah...loved it since I saw the first pics leak. My other option would be audi s3. I know most will say audi all the way but kia stinger is nicer Imo. I tell people to forget the old kia. Not the same brand.
I feel like I'll get better performance out of the kia.

I got a Stinger because a friend dropped the promo book on me and said, "Here's your next new car", and then walked off laughing. I put the promo book in the bathroom and read it all winter. Literally months of slowly being seduced by a Kia; I couldn't believe it. The test drive did in any lingering doubts I had. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. An update is long overdue.
So... I went to the dealer today after work and test drove the 2021 GT limited. They only have a red one and charcoal.
To be honest.... I like them both.
First impression.... Love it. Everything about it. Power, comfort, handling, styling, interior. Sales guy asked me to rate it out of 10 so I gave it a 9.
He asked why not 10!! I replied nothing is perfect when it comes to cars. 1 thing I'm not crazy about is the touch screen.
I prefer to toggle through options with a knob and not having to lean over while I'm driving. Not a deal breaker. Question, does the suspension adjust with every drive mode? Anyway... Leaps closer to getting one.

Most of the touchscreen functions can be done with the center stack buttons... I have driven a lot of different makes (rental cars) and I think it is one of the better systems out there

Wich buttons are you referring to?
I didn't spend a lot of time with it to test things out.

HVAC / Temperature, fan speed, direction . .. Big one for me
Touchscreen function, map, nav, radio, etc
Also the ☆ is user customized... I have mine set for AA/Carplay
Audio track volume station etc
(Volume, tracks (stations) and input (FM, USB, AA, carplay, etc) are also on the steering wheel )

Plus if you are using AA/Carplay you can use the "talk" button on the steering wheel for a lot of functions (directions, music)

In Canada GT limited only get front adjusting dampers which do change based on drive mode but to my understanding it is either comfort or sport setting. Eco would be same as comfort and smart would be based on driving behavior in comfort or sport.

Thanks. How about variable exhaust?
